Patch 12.1’s most recent PTR build has given us another strong hint at a release date!
The release date for Patch 12.1 is currently believed to be 11th August (NA) / 12th August (EU). These dates follow Blizzard’s 8-week patch cadence, and also align with the end of Turbulent Timeways on 11th August.
However, we now have some more evidence to back the claim of when we’ll see Midnight’s first major patch. On the 12.1 PTR, The Tidebound Grotto—WoW’s new instanced World Boss raid—has officially been scheduled in the calendar to open on 19th August. This date would coincide with a 12th August release, with Midnight Season 2 starting a week later on 19th August.
The evidence is strong, but of course, Blizzard have not officially confirmed this yet. Things on the PTR are still subject to change, but we’ll most likely see 12.1 hit live servers 12th August!
