Version 3.2 is already shaping up to be one of the more mysterious updates in Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), and now players know exactly when they will get their next big look at it. HoYoverse has confirmed that the Version 3.2 Special Program, “Their Secret Histories,” will air on August 28 at 7:30 PM UTC+8.
Secrets indeed. ZZZ has no shortage of characters with questionable pasts, and Version 3.2 appears ready to start pulling on some of those loose threads.
The Flint Workshop Could Hold More Answers Than Expected
The story is already pointing toward Flint Workshop in Vyrium, following the ongoing mystery surrounding the Bangboo manipulation and Lady Dracaene Sunbringer’s recovery after losing her Karma Core in 3.1. Considering that Claret is the head of Flint Workshop, she is in an especially interesting position. She and her assistant Roxy, are set to host in the Special Program alongside fan-favorite Mr. Z. HoYoverse isn’t giving away exactly what the trio will uncover, which is probably for the best. After all, the fun here is figuring out whose “secret histories” we’ll discover.
Roxy is an obvious candidate. The ZZZ community has spent plenty of time speculating about her possible connection to Corin, although there is still no official confirmation that the two characters have a shared history. If Version 3.2 does decide to pull on that particular thread, however, the timing would certainly be interesting. But Roxy isn’t the only character with some missing pieces in her story.
Truvia was left gravely injured during Version 3.1, and while players already know parts of her history, there’s still a substantial gap between her time with Belle and Wise at Helios Academy and her eventual return to the present-day storyline. There is an entire chapter of her life that ZZZ has yet to properly explore, and a title like “Their Secret Histories” leaves plenty of room for that gap to finally become relevant.
Then again, the secrets could belong to Claret, Roxy, Truvia, or someone else entirely. HoYoverse is keeping its cards close to the chest for now, which makes the livestream all the more interesting. Players can also expect an exclusive redemption code during the broadcast, giving everyone another reason to tune in.
August 28 should be one livestream to watch. Whatever secrets HoYoverse has been keeping tucked away, Version 3.2 may finally be ready to let a few of them loose.
