Cissia and Seed Are Perfect Together but Should You Pull Both?

Seed and Cissia in Zenless Zone Zero

With Version 2.7 Phase 2 starting this week, Cissia and Seed are taking over the banners, so we get one new Agent and one returning character that has already proven strong.

If you are trying to decide where your pulls should go, the answer depends heavily on what your account needs and what you already have.

Seed – A Strong Electric DPS

Seed remains a powerful Electric DPS, but she comes with a very specific playstyle. Her entire kit revolves around her Vanguard system, meaning she needs another Attack Agent to reach her full potential. When that condition is met, her damage goes up significantly.

The downside is that this means her team options are very limited, and it is also important to note that she relies heavily on her signature W-Engine.

In short, Seed is strong, but not very flexible.

Cissia – Flexible Electric Buffer and Sub-DPS

Cissia, on the other hand, is much easier to slot into teams because she is an Electric Sub-DPS and buffer who brings:

  • Defense Ignore for Electric damage
  • Up to +40% CRIT DMG for the whole team
  • Strong off-field ultility

She works naturally alongside Electric DPS Agents and does not require the same strict setup as Seed.

They Are Meant to Work Together

The truth is that Cissia is one of Seed’s best partners. She helps with Seed’s resource generation, buffs her damage directly, fills Seed’s Vanguard role perfectly, and more!

In reality, running both together gives you one of the best and most synergistic teams for Seed right now.

So, Who Should You Pull?

Go for Cissia if you want a safe, flexible sub-dps for Electric teams. This means that you need to already play or at least plan to play Electric teams. If you already have Seed, Cissia is definitely a good addition for you because it will make your Seed Squad significantly stronger.

Go for Seed if you want a main DPS to build around, and you have another Attack Agent that can fill her Vanguard role.

If you can afford it, they complement each other extremely well, and to be honest, if you want Cissia, you should also go for Seed. However, if you have to choose, Cissia is the more future-proof choice. Seed is still strong, but she is definitely more demanding.

And if you were hoping for a simple answer… well, HoYoverse clearly designed this banner so that the “optimal” choice is pulling both.
