Cissia Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Cissia build guide for Zenless Zone Zero. Cissia is a powerful RANK Physical Sub-DPS who can be played in teams with Electric or Physical DPS Agents, providing powerful buffs to these teams. In our guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Cissia, from building the best Drive Discs and W-Engines to important stat priorities and combos.

Cissia's Best W-Engines

Listed below are some W-Engines likely to be useful for Cissia. As Cissia is not yet released, information regarding her kit is subject to change, and W-Engine recommendations are not final. It is not recommended to farm or build W-Engines solely based on information before Cissia's release. Recommendations below are only speculative.

Cissia's Signature
Increases CRIT Rate by 20%. When the equipper consumes at least 20 Energy in a single instance, for every 20 Energy consumed,
gain a buff for 3s: Ignore 30% of the target's DEF when dealing Electric DMG. Gaining this buff again extends the duration,
up to a maximum of 30s. When entering Assist state, gain this buff for 10s. When the equipper is not the active character on-field,
the buff duration does not decrease.
Cissia's signature W-Engine, which is likely to be her best in slot. It provides an Energy Regen sub-stat, increases CRIT Rate, and provides a Defense Ignore buff which can be extended based on the amount of Energy consumed.
Drill Rig - Red Axis
Hell's Generator
When launching an EX Special Attack or Chain Attack, Electric DMG from Basic Attacks and Dash Attacks increases by 50/57.5/65/72.5/80% for 10s. This effect can trigger once every 15s.
Drill Rig - Red Axis is an A-Rank W-Engine with the potential to be one of Cissia's best options. This W-Engine provides an Energy Regen sub-stat and increases Electric Basic and Dash Attack DMG when dealing EX-Special or Ultimate damage. Cissia deals a lot of Basic Attack damage, and alongside the Energy Regen, this W-Engine has the potential to be a strong option for her.
The Brimstone
Scorching Breath
Upon hitting an enemy with a Basic Attack, Dash Attack, or Dodge Counter, the equipper's ATK increases by 3.5/4.4/5.2/6/7% for 8s, stacking up to 8 times. This effect can trigger once every 0.5s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.
The Brimstone increases Basic Attack damage, which could be very useful for Cissia. Although, it remains to be seen how well Cissia is able to stack and maintain The Brimstone's buffs.
Bellicose Blaze
Flame-Devouring Choir
Increases CRIT Rate by 20/23/26/29/32%. When the equipper triggers an Aftershock that deals Fire DMG, their attacks ignore 15/17.2/19.5/21.7/24% of the target's DEF for 8s. Can stack once every 3s, up to 2 stacks. Repeated triggers reset the duration.
Bellicose Blaze is one of two S-Rank W-Engines that provide Energy Regen, which could make it a usable stat stick for Cissia, as it also increases CRIT Rate.

Other S-Rank W-Engines might also be viable to use as stat sticks:

  • Cordis Germina
  • Heartstring Nocturne
  • Zanshin Herb Case
  • Severed Innocence
  • Riot Suppressor Mark VI

Best Drive Discs for Cissia

As Cissia is not yet released, information regarding her kit is subject to change, and Drive Disc recommendations are not final. It is not recommended to farm or build Drive Discs solely based on information before Cissia's release. Recommendations below are only speculative.

Dawn's Bloom
2-Piece Set: Increases Basic Attack DMG by 15%.
4-Piece Set: Increases Basic Attack DMG by 20%. When equipped by an Attack character, using an EX Special Attack or Ultimate will further increase Basic Attack DMG by 20% for 25s. Repeated triggers reset the duration.
Dawn's Bloom is likely to be one of Cissia's best Drive Disc options, as it increases Basic Attack damage, which makes up a large part of Cissia's damage distribution. Other options such as Hormone Punk or Woodpecker Electro might also be usable Drive Disc options that allow Cissia to deal more personal damage.

2-Piece Recommendations include:

  • Swing Jazz - Any 2pc ER
  • Woodpecker Electro
  • Astral Voice - Any 2pc ATK
  • Thunder Metal - 2pc Electric DMG

Cissia's Stat Priority

Disc 4: CRIT Rate / DMG > ATK %
Disc 5: Electric DMG > ATK %
Disc 6: ER / ATK %
Substats: CRIT Rate > CRIT DMG = ATK % > PEN = ATK

Energy Regen is going to be an important stat for Cissia, as it increases her Defense Ignore buff and allows her to use her EX-Special more often. This grants more Venom (Cissia's resource) and therefore allows her to use her Charge Attack more often. Going for a 6th partition Energy Regen Disc might be preferred over ATK. To maximize Cissia's Defense Ignore, she would need 3.68 Energy Regen.

Aside from Energy Regen, stats such as CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK %, and Electric DMG are also important to maximize Cissia's damage output, as she is usually played as a Sub-DPS contributing to a portion of the team's overall damage. Cissia's Serpent's Venom Burst attack can increase CRIT Rate by 8% for 15s; this can stack up to 3 times for a total of 24% CRIT Rate, slightly reducing the need for CRIT Rate on Cissia.

Cissia's Skill Priority

Skill Priority: > > > > >

Cissia's most important skill to level up would be her Core Skill, as her Defense Ignore buff scales with her Core Skill level, which also increases the damage dealt by Cissia's Serpent's Venom Burst. Cissia's Charge Attack and Serpent's Venom Burst both count as Basic Attack damage, making Basic Attack an important skill to level for Cissia's damage. EX-Specials will be frequently used by Cissia to restore her Venom resource. Chain Attack and Ultimate also deal a decent amount of damage and may be worth leveling on Cissia.
