Yesterday was full of surprises for the ZZZ community. While Manato’s drip marketing was expected, both Lucia’s and Yidhari’s revealed that HoYoverse still knows how to keep hype high when it comes to character designs.

As the second character released in the Rupture role, she is a direct competitor to Yi Xuan. But what does she actually do?
First of all, her Core Passive: Yidhari gains additional Sheer Force based on her maximum HP.
Additionally, all Ice damage dealt by Yidhari’s skills is considered Sheer damage, meaning it ignores the enemy’s defense.
But Yidhari’s main gimmick is her HP manipulation! When her HP percentage is low, she deals more damage and takes reduced damage, capping at 30% HP. The maximum attack damage buff is 80%, and she takes 20% less damage.
Yidhari can gain Decibels normally, but she also gains them when the whole squad’s HP decreases.
Spins And Tentacles!
Her Basic Attack lets her drain her own HP to activate her Core Passive buff. She can charge this attack up to three levels, draining a maximum of 25% of her HP.
She can release this attack to deal damage based on the charge level. She can also use her Basic Attack uncharged to recover 10% HP on the third strike.
Her Ex Special Attack has two different variants. The “Icy Mist” version deals massive Ice damage and restores 40% of Yidhari’s lost HP.
With the “Lethal Follow-up” version, she instantly maxes out her Basic Attack charge while dealing heavy damage. She also recovers 33% HP and gains a shield equal to 10% of her Max HP.
Her Ultimate consumes Decibels to unleash a powerful strike and activate an Ether Veil: Health. Just like Lucia’s version, this domain increases the Max HP of all Agents by 5%. While Yidhari is in Ether Veil: Health, her Charged Attacks charging speed increases. When reactivating Ether Veil: Health, she recovers 20% HP.
Finally, her Additional Ability triggers when a Stun or Assist character is in the squad. When Ether Veil: Health is active, Yidhari will deal additional damage with the third hit of her Basic and Charged Attacks. She also gains 35% Crit damage when under 50% HP.
An Alternative To Yi Xuan?
Here is a link to her complete kit if you’re interested. However, please note that, like every Beta kit, numbers are subject to change.
Here’s a link to her combat animations if you want to see if you can handle the upcoming tentacle lady!
Yidhari looks like a strong option if you didn’t pull for Yi Xuan on her gacha banner. She also gains a lot of damage thanks to her W-Engine. It gives her 713 base ATK and 30% bonus HP.
When the wielder’s HP decreases, their Ice Sheer damage increases by 8%, stacking up to 3 times and lasting 15 seconds. Each stack has an independent duration and can trigger once every 0.5 seconds. When the wielder’s HP falls under 50%, Crit rate increases by 20%. For now, this W-Engine is niche, as only Yidhari benefits from it.
If you’re looking for a new Rupture DPS, or if you’re not afraid of this octopus Thiren, keep an eye on her!
