Yixuan's Best W-Engines
Listed below are Yixuan's best W-Engines. While W-Engines are listed in a priority order, what is best to build on your Yixuan can vary slightly depending on your team composition.

When launching a Chain Attack or Ultimate, the equipper gains 1 stack of a buff effect. Each stack increases the equipper's Sheer Force by 80/92/104/116/128, stacking up to 3 times, and lasting 12s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.

2-Piece Recommendations include:
- Branch & Blade Song
- Woodpecker Electro
Yixuan's Stat Priority
When building Yixuan, CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, and HP are the most important stats to focus on. The more HP you have, the more her Sheer DMG will increase.
Yixuan's Skill Priority
Yixuan's most important skill to level by far is her Core skill since it increases her damage maasively. Her Special Attack and Ultimate are also the next main priority since those are her main damage abilities. After that, her Basic Attack is also important.
How to Play Yixuan
Yixuan is a Rupture Agent introduced in ZZZ. Rupture agents are a mix of both DPS and survivability. They convert a portion of their ATK into Sheer Force, which ignores enemy defenses. Yixuan's kit can feel overwhelming at first, as it includes a lot of new terms introduced with Season Two. However, once you understand the basics, she is quite enjoyable to play.
As mentioned before, Yixuan is a Rupture and Auric Ink Agent. Auric Ink is basically another type of Ether. If you are familiar with Hoshimi Miyabi's gameplay, it is similar to what Frost is to Ice. Yixuan also does not use the usual Energy system. Instead, she can accumulate Adrenaline.
In order to understand how to play Yixuan, you first need to know what the mechanics mean and do. Here is a short breakdown of everything you need to know, before diving deeper into her gameplay and build!
Auric Ink Explained
Auric Ink Agents deal Auric Ink DMG to enemies, which accumulates Auric Ink Anomaly Buildup. Similar to Ether, it will trigger the Corruption effect.
Auric Ink Anomaly Buildup counts as a different anomaly than Ether Anomaly Buildup, which means that you can trigger Disorder between Auric Ink and Ether as well.
Yixuan's Core Skill also has a special mechanic where after launching her Ultimate: Endless Talisman Suppression, she will gain one Auric Ink Point. One point can be spend to launch her Basic Attack: Auric Array. In order to do that, hold your and tap your right after. This will deploy an Array which deals continuous Auric Ink DMG, and when this ends, it automatically triggers her Basic Attack: Qingming Eruption, which lets her spread her wings and launch an explosion, dealing massive Auric Ink DMG as well.
What is Rupture
As a Rupture Agent, Yixuan is the first one with both offensive and survivability capabilities. Most of her attacks allow her to deal massive damage, and chain various combos. On top of that, her Dodge allows her to fly up and enter the Light as Air state. This will give you a huge mobility advantage as you will fly rather fast. If you tap your right after, you can combo with her Auric Ink Array and Qingming Eruption.
On top of that, as a Rupture Agent, Yixuan possesses a lot of I-frames. Most of her attacks will make her invulnerable while using her skills. Her ultimate also redistributes the entire squad's HP. This means that if one of your characters is extremely low, using her ultimate will redistribute the HP to put everyone at the same level.
Additionally, when charging her EX Special Attack all incoming attacks are automatically blocked, and will activate the upward wing attack. If you are hit at the exact moment the wing appears, you trigger a Perfect Block effect, which negates the DMG.
Sheer Force
Rupture Agents also use Sheer Force instead of ATK. They can convert a portion of their ATK into Sheer Force.
The current conversion rate is 30% of ATK converted into Sheer Force.
Sheer Force will basically increase the amount of Sheer DMG Yixuan deals. Sheer DMG deals a large amount of damage by simply ignoring enemy defenses.
Yixuan can increase her own Sheer DMG, which scales on her own HP. Every point of Max HP increases her Sheer Force by 0.1.
Adrenaline, Yixuan's Energy System
As mentioned, Yixuan does not use the usual Energy system. She uses Adrenaline. Overall, Adrenaline functions the same as Energy: it accumulates in various ways, and Yixuan can spend it to use her EX Special Attacks.
Yixuan gains adrenaline through the following actions:
- Her Core Skill allows Yixuan to restore ALL Adrenaline upon entering combat
- When triggering an Anomaly Yixuan restores an additional 10 Adrenaline
- Triggering a Perfect Dodge grants an additional 5 Adrenaline for Yixuan
- When another character in your squad is a Stun, Support, or Defense character:
- If they use an Ultimate, Yixuan continuously recovers 2 Adrenaline over 10s.
- If Yixuan is switched out by a Perfect Assist, she restores an additional 5 Adrenaline.
- While Channelling Yixuan's EX Special Attack:
- If hit during activation of the upward wing attack she recovers 10 Adrenaline.
- When an upward wing strike hits an enemy with a red flash or yellow flash she recovers 10 Adrenaline.
- While channelling her Basic Attack: Auric Array, continuously recover Adrenaline, recovering 7/s, for up to 3s.
The last thing to know about Adrenaline is that consuming it will grant you Technique points. You gain 0.67 points for each point of Adrenaline consumed. Once you accumulated enough Technique Points, you can finally trigger her additional Ultimate Attack called Endless Talisman Suppression.
You still need enough Decibels to trigger the ultimate, but if you have enough Technique Points, the second ultimate will trigger with priority. During this ultimate, Yixuan will spread her wings to attack.
Yixuan's Combos
Now that you understand the basic of Yixuan's kit, here is how to play Yixuan. Most of Yixuan's damage comes from her EX Special Attack. What you want to do is accumulate Adrenaline constantly, to be able to use her EX Special Attack: Ink Manifestation.
First, you want to set up any of the support or stun agents in your team to get all their buffs up. Note that Agents such as Astra Yao got their kit modified to include Rupture Agents.
If you have a Stun, Support, or Defense Agent in your squad, you want to first use Yixuan's Ultimate, as this will allow her to enter the Meditation sate and gain 40% CRIT DMG for 15s.
Yixuan will start the fight with a full Adrenaline bar thanks to her Core Skill. This allows you to directly channel her EX Special Attack, while blocking and negating incoming damage while you do so, and regain some Adrenaline.
Keep in mind that the longer you channel her skills, the more damage you will do. Channeling her EX Special Attack until your run out of Adrenaline allows you to execute a powerful finisher automatically.
After that, the rotation is quite simple:
- Accumulate Adrenaline
- Spend it to get Technique Points
- Trigger your additional Ultimate: Endless Talisman Suppression
- This gives you Auric Ink Points
- Spend the Auric Ink Point to trigger Basic Attack: Auric Array
- Hold your dodge to enter High-speed Light as Air state and deploy an array dealing damage
- This will trigger your Qingming Eruption
- By then you should have enough Adrenaline again, and can start over
Yixuan's Best Mindscapes
Yixuan's mindscapes are quite similar to Miyabi. Her M2 and M6 are extremely powerful while her M1 provides lower buffs than her signature W-Engine. She definitely does not need any Mindscapes to already feel powerful.
However, if you want to invest, know that Yixuan's M1 is a good quality-of-life upgrade and grants some DMG increase. If you need to choose between her M1 or W-Engine, we recommand going for her W-Engine, especially since as of right now, options are limited regarding Rupture Agents W-engines. If you want to go all in, her M6 is quite strong and will heavily increase her DMG.
