Yidhari Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Yidhari build guide for Zenless Zone Zero. Yidhari is a powerful S-Rank Ice Rupture DPS Agent who deals damage based on her HP. The lower her health is, the more DMG she will deal. In our guide, we will cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Yidhari, from building the best Drive Discs and W-Engines to important stat priorities and combos.

Yidhari's Best W-Engines

Listed below are Yidhari's best W-Engines. While W-Engines are listed in a priority order, what is best to build on your Yidhari can vary slightly depending on your team composition.

Kraken's Cradle
Heartfelt Caress
When the equipper's HP decreases, their Ice Sheer DMG increases by 6/7/8/9/10%, stacking up to 3 times and lasting 25s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. This effect can trigger once every 0.5s. When the equipper's HP falls to 50% of Max HP or below, CRIT Rate increases by 20/23/26/29/32%.
Yidhari's signature W-Engine is her best option to build around as it provides increased Ice Sheer DMG by 6% when her HP decreases, which will happen very often. On top of that, when her HP is below 50% of Max HP, her CRIT Rate also gets a 20% bonus. Since there are not a lot of Rupture specific W-Engines right now, it does place a much higher value on the Agent's signature Engine.
Qingming Birdcage
Cloud Flow
CRIT Rate increases by 20/23/26/29/32%. When the equipper launches an EX Special Attack, the character gains 1 stack of Qingming Companion effect, stacking up to 2 times and lasting 15s. On entering combat, immediately gain 2 stacks. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Each stack of the Qingming Companion effect increases the equipper's Ether DMG by 8/9.2/10.4/11.6/12.8%, and increases Ultimate and EX Special Attack Ether Sheer DMG by 10/11.5/13/14.5/16%.
Yidhari's next best option is Yixuan's signature W-Engine. While you will not benefit from the Ether DMG bonus, it does give you a 30% HP as main stat, and a nice 20% CRIT Rate bonus.
Radiowave Journey
Easy Strides
When launching a Chain Attack or Ultimate, the equipper gains 1 stack of a buff effect. Each stack increases the equipper's Sheer Force by 80/92/104/116/128, stacking up to 3 times, and lasting 12s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.
Only available through the New Eridu City Fund (Battle Pass) but this is Yidhari's best A-Rank W-Engine providing 3 stacks of a Sheet Force buff.
Puzzle Sphere
Ingenious Craft
Upon launching an EX Special Attack, the equipper's CRIT DMG increases by 16/18.4/20.8/23.2/25.6% for 12s. Additionally, if the target's current HP is below 50% of their Max HP, EX Special Attack DMG increases by 20/23/26/29/32%.
Yidhari's best F2P W-Engine, provides a 25.6% CRIT DMG buff as well as a 32% EX Special Attack DMG increase when Yidhari's HP is below 50% which she is regularly below due to her HP manipulation mechanics.
Grill O'Wisp
Caged Fire
The equipper's Fire DMG increases by 15/17.25/19.5/21.75/24%. When the equipper's HP decreases, their CRIT Rate increases by 15/17.25/19.5/21.75/24% for 5s.
[Cinder] Cobalt
Dim Flame
Upon becoming the active character in combat, the equipper's ATK increases by 7.2/8.2/9.3/10.4/11.5% for 10s. This effect can trigger once every 20s.

Best Drive Discs for Yidhari

Yunkui Tales
2-Piece Set: HP +10%
4-Piece Set: When using EX Special Attack, Chain Attack, or Ultimate, CRIT Rate increases by 4%, stacking up to 3 times and lasting 15s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. When having 3 stacks of this effect, Sheer DMG increases by 10%.
Yidhari should be built with Yunkui Tales! It is a clear winner for Yidhari's best Drive Disc options, since it does provides Yidhari with more HP %, increased CRIT Rate, and increased Sheer DMG. There is no reason to build any other discs as your 4-Piece, as it is the only set that currently provides Sheer DMG.

2-Piece Recommendations include:

  • Branch & Blade Song / Woodpecker Electro
  • Polar Metal
These options are all very good 2-piece options for Yidhari's Build. It mostly depends on what stats rolled on your other Discs, and what you still need between CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG. If you have enough of both, you can even go for more Ice DMG with Polar Metal.

Yidhari's Stat Priority

Disc 4: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
Disc 5: Ice DMG / HP %
Disc 6: HP %
Substats: CRIT Rate = CRIT DMG > HP % > HP > ATK %

When building Yidhari, CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, and HP are the most important stats to focus on. The more HP you have, the more her Sheer DMG will increase.

Yidhari's Skill Priority

Skill Priority: > > > > =

Yidhari's most important skill to level by far is her Core skill since it provides with a massive DMG bonus. Her Basic and Special Attack are also her main DMG dealing abilities, so you want to upgrade those as soon as possible. Her Assist and Dodge can be upgraded last, as they have less value for Yidhari.

How to Play Yidhari

Yidhari's main gameplay revolves around her fluctuating HP. Her whole DMG depends on the amount of Max HP she has, and the amount of remaining HP. Her own attacks make her loose HP and gain it back. Overall, all you need to know is how to increase your DMG by lowering your HP, and how to heal yourself again quickly. Once you understand that, her main DMG will come from her Charged Basic Attack and Core Skill Passives.

Yidhari also has a special Ether Veil: Wellspring mechanic. Under her Ether Veil, the following actions take place:

  • Tentacles appear during the fight, increasing her skill power.
  • The charge speed of Basic Attack: Frostbite Embrace increases, and HP is consumed faster when you charge.
  • All squad member's Max HP is increased by 5% for 30s.
  • After the level 3 charged attack of Yidhari's Basic Attack: Frostbite Embrace or EX Special Attack: Glacial Crush, an icy tentacle is summoned to attack, dealing extra damage.

Consuming HP

As mentioned, Yidhari's DMG increases while she consumes her HP. First, thanks to her Core Passive, she gains 0.1 Sheer Force per 1 point of Max HP. This means that the more Max HP you have, the more Sheer DMG she will deal.

On top of that, Yidhari's DMG increases when her current HP decreases. When her HP goes below 50%, the buff reaches its maximum, increasing her DMG up to 100% (when her Core Skill is upgraded to max).

The following actions can lower Yidhari's HP:

  • Charging Basic Attack: Frostbite Embrace. The higher her HP, the faster it charges, and the faster it consumes it. This can not lower Yidhari's HP under 25%. You have 3 levels of charge. The more you charge, the more DMG the attack will deal once you release it.
  • While Yidhari is within Ether Veil: Wellspring, the charge speed of Basic Attack: Frostbite Embrace increases, and HP is consumed faster during charging.
  • Getting hit by enemies.

Gaining HP

Now that you know how to get Yidhari under 50% HP, you also need to know how to heal yourself.

The following actions can heal Yidhari:

  • The 3rd Basic Attack: Crushing Strike hit heals 10% HP.
  • While charging Basic Attack: Frostbite Embrace, at 2 charges, press the Basic Attack directly after to trigger the 3rd hit of Basic Attack: Crushing Strike and gain back HP.
  • Hit an enemy with EX Special Attack: Frost Coil to recover 33% of Yidhari's missing HP.
  • Hit an enemy with EX Special Attack: Glacial Crush to recover 33% of Yidhari's missing HP.

Yidhari's Combos

Yidhari's default combo is the following:

  • Hold to Charge Basic Attack: Frostbite Embrace.
  • Release Basic Attack: Frostbite Embrace at 2 or 3 charge level (the higher you go, the more DMG it will do, but the more HP it will also consume).
  • Follow-up immediately with a Basic Attack Basic Attack: Crushing Strike (tap, do not hold it) to regain 10% HP.
  • Use her EX Special EX Special Attack: Frost Coil and make sure you hit an enemy to gain back more HP.
  • Use her Chain Attack: Frostbound Oath Ultimate when available.

Yidhari's Best Mindscapes

Yidhari has some incredibly powerful Mindscapes with her M1 giving her additional healing, and allowing her to ignore 20% of the enemy's Ice RES. Her M2 is also quite valuable, as it gives a straight up 40% increase to CRIT DMG.

Yidhari's M4 is only a slight HP and Decibel increase. Her M6 adds an Erudition effect when Ether Veil is active, increasing her Sheer DMG by 25%, and saving her from death once by reducing her HP to 1 instead, and making her invincible for 5s while she restores 25% HP over time.

If you are not aiming for M6 Yidhari, then M2 is your best stopping point. However, if you wanted to go ham on Yidhari, it is definitely worth it as well.
