Build Introduction
Your Druid has the zoomies, and Nature’s Fury Trampleslide is here to get rid of them, alongside enemies, with immense map-clearing power! Charge through the trash mobs, elites, and bosses of Sanctuary, leaving waves of powerful Landslide behind, obliterating all in your path. This article will cover everything you need to start your own Trampleslide adventure!
This build’s primary interaction and gameplay is sending out high volumes of Landslide via
Trample and
Poison Creeper, and constantly resetting each ability.
Aspect of the Trampled Earth gives
Trample its
Landslide, and Subterranean Aspect gives
Poison Creeper its
Landslide.
- Get
Trample resets with
Nature’s Fury interacting with
Symbiotic Aspect.
- Get
Poison Creeper resets from Critical Strikes interacting with Spirit Boon Packleader resetting your active
Companion Skill.
Strengths and Weaknesses
- Clear maps with near-constant Landslides
- Low resource management
- Strong mobility and access to Unstoppable
- Constant knockbacks can be unbearable for group play
- Needs high-rolled non-Codex Aspects to perform well

Build Requirements

In its final form, this build requires no Uniques and 3 gameplay changing non-Codex Legendary Aspects (listed below) to function:
Aspect of the Trampled Earth, to summon waves of
Landslide as you
Trample.
Symbiotic Aspect, to let your Storm damage like
Storm Strike reset your
Trample through
Nature’s Fury.
Aspect of The Aftershock, to double the
Landslide you generate and ramp damage significantly.
Without these Aspects, the build simply is not Trampleslide (and is not recommended), and we recommend continuing to farm for them using your existing build, or checking out other Landslide builds like our Landslide Leveling Build!
Variants
Variant Playstyles for this build include the following:
- Creeperslide focuses more on chain resetting
Poison Creeper over
Trample, capitalizing on
Primal Landslide Terramote generation for big Critical Strikes without so many disruptive
Trample knockbacks.
Season of the Malignant
Season 1 Patch Updates
The following list details the changes in the Season 1 Patch Update that are specific to this build.
Patch 1.1
- Masochistic Boon now also requires a Lucky Hit chance of 75%.
- Bolster Boon Fortify increased from 10% to 15% of Maximum Life.
Storm Strike Damage Reduction reduced from 25% to 15%.
Cataclysm Lightning damage increased from 64% to 77%, and Tornado damage from 19% to 23%.
Supreme Cataclysm Vulnerable duration increased from 2 to 3 seconds.
Prime Cataclysm duration increased from 2 to 4 seconds.
Aspect of Disobedience maximum stacks reduced from 100 to 60, reducing maximum Bonus Armor % from 25-50% to 15-30%.
Symbiotic Aspect Cooldown reduction reduced from 4-8 to 3-5.
- Several Gear Affix scaling including Damage Reductions, Cooldown Reduction, Critical Strike Damage and Vulnerable damage have been reduced.
New Aspect: Subterranean (Offensive Aspect): Poison Creeper’s active also casts
Landslide in a circle around you. Earth Skills deal 10-20% increased damage to Poisoned enemies. This welcome addition to the build, combined with Packleader boon to reset your
Poison Creeper, means even more Landslides in high volume. This also opens up the Creeperslide Variant Playstyle that focuses more on
Poison Creeper casts than
Trample casts.
The Symbiotic Aspect Cooldown reduction change means that
Trample will not be able to fully reset within one Nature’s Fury trigger unless the Aspect is placed on a 2-handed weapon. Despite this, this build remains competitive and capable.
Patch 1.1.1
No significant changes related to this build.
Malignant Hearts
For general seasonal information, check out our Malignant Hearts Guide.
The following Malignant Hearts are recommended in order of importance
Caged Heart of Revenge (Brutal, Defensive-World Tier III): 10-20% of incoming damage is instead suppressed. When you use a Defensive, Subterfuge or a Macabre skill, all suppressed damage is amplified by 250% and explodes, dealing up to 1360-2040 Fire damage to Nearby enemies.
The damage burst is not too exciting but ith the 1.1 nerfs to Damage Reduction Gearing Affixes, this is a welcome extra source of defense.Caged Heart of Inexorable Force (Devious, Utility): Up to 30-50 Distant enemies are pulled toward you while you have an Ultimate Skill active.
Caged Heart of The Barber (Wrathful, Super-World Tier III): Critical Strikes and all subsequent damage within 2.0-4.0 seconds is absorbed by your target. Then, the absorbed damage erupts onto surrounding enemies. Stored damage is increased by 10% per second.
Try to get this at a lower duration. Too high and you risk debuffs like Vulnerable falling off. This can also be mildly bait during any farm or speed content.Caged Heart of the Malignant Pact (Wrathful, Super): Cycle through a Malignant bonus every 20 kills:
Vicious: Gain 20% Attack Speed.
Devious: Core and Basic Skills have a 15% chance to fully restore your Primary Resource.
Brutal: Every 21 seconds, gain a Barrier absorbing 85-102 damage.
While portions of this are not a great addition, The Malignant Pact is worth mentioning for things like Bosses and Uber bosses, as you can cycle your buff to the 20% attack speed then go into the fight. Uber Lilith for example does not have enough things to kill throughout the fight to force a cycle before you can complete the fight.Caged Heart of the Picana (Vicious, Offensive): Critical Strikes electrically charge the enemy for 0.75-2.50 seconds, causing lightning to arc between them and any other charged enemies dealing 68-136 Lightning damage.

- Only one point is taken in
Trample, because most of your damage is from
Landslide.
- Only one point is taken for
Quickshift, since it only boosts your
Trample.
Primal Landslide is recommended over
Raging Landslide because the guaranteed Critical Strike and Critical Strike Damage boost has value against all opponents, including bosses. The Crowd Control necessary to trigger
Raging Landslide won’t always be up.
Alternative Skills
As with many builds, there are plenty of options available for min-maxing output, maintaining Fortify, changing gameplay tempo, fitting the build to gearing and stat needs, or for different content such as bosses vs. non-bosses. The Nature’s Fury Trampleslide build has several flex points for finding your balance in the game:
Cataclysm is a strong
Ultimate Skill that plays well into Trample’s reset needs, sending out Storm events for more
Symbiotic Aspect resets, as well as applying Vulnerable to enemies.
Petrify is a valid alternative, giving periodic and reliable boosts to Critical Strike Damage and applying a Stun to feed Crowd Control-based interactions such as
Primal Landslide terramotes.
- If your Fortify generation is sufficient, you can take points out of
Safeguard.
Spirit Boons – The Druid Class Specialization
Druids unlock powerful Spirit Boon passives, giving offerings to the animal spirits to receive their blessing. Once fully unlocked, you can activate the final Boon by Spirit Bonding with one of the four animal spirits to take two passives from that row.
Boon Name | Animal | Effect |
---|---|---|
Wariness | Deer | Take 10% reduced damage from Elites |
Swooping Attacks | Eagle | Gain +10% Attack Speed |
Scythe Talons | Eagle | Gain 5% increased Critical Strike |
Packleader | Wolf | Lucky Hit: Critical Strikes have up to a 20% chance to reset the Cooldowns of your Companion Skills. |
Masochistic | Snake | Lucky Hit: Critical Strikes with Shapeshifting Skills have up to a 75% chance to Heal you for 3% Maximum Life. |
- If you have a high Critical Strike Chance already, or high Lucky Hit on your gear, you can change your Sprit Bond from the Eagle’s Scythe Talons increased Critical Strike Chance to the Snake’s Calm Before the Storm for more casts of your
Ultimate Skill.
- If your Defense is sufficient and you do not need extra self-healing, you can change from Masochistic to Calm Before the Storm.
Paragon
The Paragon Board is a progression system unlocked at Level 50, giving player power through Common stat Nodes, Magic affix Nodes, Rare leveled Glyphs, and Legendary board-exclusive Nodes. Below you will find the preferred Glyphs, Boards and pathing recommended for making the most of the build. All Glyphs are placed as if they are max radius (Level 15+).
The Rare Glyphs in the Paragon progression system are often the strongest player power, placed in the Glyph Sockets of each Board. Only one Glyph Socket is available per board. We cover a total of six Boards to optimize the volume of Rare Glyphs to slot.
While you are still leveling and don’t have access to the full board, prioritize placing Exploit and Werebear, as these are the strongest available Rare Glyphs to slot. We do not take
Shapeshifter because, unfortunately, on
Trample cast the increased Critical Strike Chance will only affect the Trample, not the Landslides.

Check our Legendary Aspect and Codex of Power Guide to see which slots can have which Legendary Aspects. For example, helm can have either Defensive or Utility powers, so there are interchangeable options listed above. An aspect like Ballistic Aspect could be on helm or chest, with room for all the rest of the Legendary Aspects you need to complete the build.
Remember to pick up and check all of those Rare items! There are many combinations of Gear Affix rolls possible. Amulets in particular have more than 45 Gear Affixes for the Druid! Going from 2 favorable Affixes to 3, then 4 on each slot will help focus and optimize your build.
Alternative Legendary Aspects
Both Ghostwalker Aspect and
Aspect of Quicksand are valid options.
Aspect of Quicksand is for better application of a Slow for your crowd control damage boosts. If your damage is sufficient, you may need more access to Unstoppable, or if you just love zooming, use
Ghostwalker Aspect
Alternative Defensive Legendaries that can be situationally valid include Skinwalker’s Aspect for self-healing, or
Earthguard Aspect or
Aspect of Mending Stone for improving your
Earthen Bulwark.
Alternative Offensive Legendaries that can be situationally valid include Rapid Aspect for more attacks to trigger
Nature’s Fury, or general amplifiers like
Aspect of Retaliation.
Weapon Type
Two-handed axe is chosen over staff for the most consistent damage Affix to any target; not all targets will be able to leverage crowd control damage boosts, such as bosses. However, Damage to Healthy will always get some value, especially while farming, allowing possible one-shot kills on enemies. If you find a Staff with more favorable Affixes or higher damage, use it.
While two-handed is recommended for this build, one-Handed axe and totem can be used as well. This will require you to shift Aspect of the Trampled Earth to amulet,
Symbiotic Aspect to gloves, ring, weapon, or totem. You will need to have high Cooldown Reduction on your gear and a max duration
Symbiotic Aspect to get the resets you need to fully reset
Trample.
Mechanics and Playstyle
The Nature’s Fury Trampleslide gameplay is about casting a high volume of Trample to send a mountain of
Landslide to kill your enemies, layering multipliers for the highest damage possible. We reset trample by sending out Storm abilities to trigger the combination of
Nature’s Fury and
Symbiotic Aspect.
Damage Rotation
Trample to send out waves of
Landslide, as well as putting
Trample on cooldown.
Poison Creeper to crowd control and Immobilize your enemy, trigger
Primal Landslide Terramotes, and cast even more
Landslide through the Subterranean Aspect. The poison will also trigger poison-based multipliers like
Envenom and Heightened Malice.
Cataclysm to trigger
Nature’s Fury and reset
Trample.
Storm Strike to trigger
Nature’s Fury and reset
Trample.
Earthen Bulwark can be used as a way to become Unstoppable, give a lifesaving Absorb and Damage Reduction with
Vigilance, or even for damage with
Innate Earthen Bulwark. The damage can be a welcome addition given we are stacking favorable Gear Affixes such as Critical Strike Chance, Critical Strike Damage, and Critical Strike Damage with Earth Spells.
Early in gearing or during dry spells without Nature’s Fury triggers, you may choose to hard cast
Landslide as priority damage to a target. Generally, this won’t be necessary, however there are not many sources for increased Spirit generation in the build, such as
Clarity. If you took
Petrify, then
Supreme Petrify can give some when you need it.
Tip: Storm Strike does not need to hit a target to trigger
Nature’s Fury! You can safely stand away from enemies and cast if you need the reset.
Crowd Control
The Trampleslide Druid has many interactions with Crowd Controls to boost damage significantly through Skill Passives like Nature’s Reach and
Natural Disaster, or Paragon Nodes like Earthen Devastation and Deluge. These include:
- Immobilizes from
Storm Strike and
Primal Landslide
- Slows from
Neurotoxin and
Aspect of Quicksand
- Stuns from
Trample wall hits or
Petrify
- Knockbacks from
Trample
Lucky Hit
Lucky Hit does not interact with Nature’s Fury. However, it can still be a useful Gear Affix to have, since it can interact with the Packleader Boon, as well as other optional choices like Calm Before the Storm Boon and
Overcharged Aspect.
Variant Playstyle Creeperslide
The new Subterranean Aspect is a strong addition to the game, summoning circles of Landslide around you when you cast
Poison Creeper. The active cast of
Poison Creeper also immobilizes enemies, generating
Primal Landslide Terramotes, which are then consumed by the summoned
Landslide circle for high damage Critical Strikes! Because so many critical strikes are going out, Spirit Boon Packleader will reset
Poison Creeper often, allowing for chained casts to bury your enemies.
Variant gameplay that would focus on this mechanic would consider the following:
- Prioritize casting
Poison Creeper over
Trample.
- Take Spirit Boon Packleader and Calm before the Storm.
- (Seasonal) Take the Malignant Heart power
Caged Heart of Inexorable Force (Devious, Utility): Up to 30-50 Distant enemies are pulled toward you while you have an
Ultimate Skill active. This allows you to gather packs more efficiently and capitalize on large volumes of damage events to reset your
Poison Creeper more often.
Petrify will be a competitive choice with
Cataclysm.
Petrify offers Terramote generation on stun and extra Critical Strike Damage, while
Cataclysm offers easy Vulnerability and more total damage events for Calm Before the Storm to reset your
Ultimate Skill sooner.
- Depending how invested you want to be in this Variant Playstyle, you may opt to run
Crashstone Aspect over
Symbiotic Aspect or
Aspect of Natural Balance.
Crashstone Aspect will be situationally stronger depending how often
Poison Creeper can be reset based on target count and Terramote generation.
- Denser areas or setting up large grips via
Caged Heart of Inexorable Force means more chained Packleader resets. This means less weaving in
Storm Strike for
Aspect of Natural Balance value or
Symbiotic Aspect resets on
Trample.
- Less dense areas, smaller packs, farm content that does not need chained casts to clear, or bosses immune to immobilizes mean fewer Terramotes generation. This can cause dry spells between Packleader resets where you would be weaving in more
Storm Strike, getting more value from
Aspect of Natural Balance or
Symbiotic Aspect.
- Denser areas or setting up large grips via
Unique Items
The Nature’s Fury Trampleslide build does not require any Uniques to work. However, there are a few that can give you some advantage.
Vasily’s Prayer and Insatiable Fury
Vasily’s Prayer Unique Effect – Your Earth Skills are now also Werebear Skills and Fortify you for [X].
Insatiable Fury Unique Effect – Werebear form is now your true form, and you gain +2 Ranks to all Werebear Skills. Note that at highest Item Power bracket this bonus is +3 Ranks. This is not currently reflected in the tooltip but you can verify the Item Contribution by checking your Skill bar or your Skill Tree.
Vasily’s Prayer Unique Effect enables a few comfy interactions. The small Fortify generation may let you take points out of
Safeguard, and making
Landslide a Werebear skill can give a noticeable increase to Snake Spirit Boon’s Masochistic healing. However, the item itself does not have many beneficial Gear Affixes.
When you combine the effects of both Vasily’s Prayer and Insatiable Fury, you get a stronger combination. Insatiable Fury has much better Gear Affixes, and when
Landslide becomes a Werebear skill, it benefits from the Insatiable Fury Skill Ranks. This can boost your
Landslide damage significantly, making the Unique combination a strong damage gain. You can also now remove the skill point in
Trample to anywhere else, since Insatiable Fury will grant access and Skill Ranks for all Werebear skills.
If you do choose to wear these Uniques, wear them as a combination only. Defensively, this may be neutral to worse depending on the Affixes on your non-unique Chest and Helm pieces. Pieces with 4/4 good Affixes can be much stronger defensively, as well as being able to keep defensive Aspects, such as Aspect of Might.
Gems
See below for the best Gems to socket into your gear for each category.
- Weapon:
Royal Emerald for Critical Strike Damage to Vulnerable Enemies.
- Armor:
Royal Sapphire for Damage Reduction while Fortified.
- Jewelry: Check out the Seasonal affix Malignant Heart section for a priority shortlist. Malignant Hearts scale higher than
Skulls in Armor, along with granting their specific powers.
- If playing on the Eternal Realm, use
Royal Skull for Armor.
- If playing on the Eternal Realm, use
Elixirs, Incense, and Health Potions
The Alchemist offers helpful Elixirs and Incense, at the cost of foraged materials found throughout Sanctuary. Herbs spawn around the world or are given as quest rewards, while other crafting materials will be looted from specific enemies. Craft the highest Assault Elixir available for Attack Speed bonuses. The more attacks you put in, the more often you can trigger
Nature’s Fury for
Trample resets. Though this is not a high-push build, you can choose defensive elixirs such as
Iron Skin Elixir for armor, or
Elixir of Fortitude for Max Life from Helltide Caches, but those will not be consistently farmable.
Incenses are costly to craft, and may be prohibitive for any farming lifestyle, but may be valuable in push content. Chorus of War for Stats and Critical Strike Damage. In a group setting, the Spirit Dance is a great alternative, granting increased Dodge Chance for each nearby player, though your group may be displeased you’re playing a Trampleslide build!
Be sure to return to the Alchemist often to upgrade your potion as you progress your character. Each upgrade increases the instant healing of the potion!
