We are several weeks into Season 14, and most classes in Diablo 4 have already cleared the prestigious Pit Tier 150.
According to Helltides, the main resource for tracking Pit clears online, five classes have cleared the Pit Tier 150, currently the hardest challenge in the game. Those classes are Rogue, Spiritborn, Barbarian, Druid and Sorcerer.
Some of these results were expected, such as Barbarian, which has remained the dominant class the second season in a row. Others are more surprising.
We’ve made some predictions in our Class Balance article just before the Season launch. And while the Barbarian is justifying all expectations, remaining the strongest class in Torment difficulties, when it comes to The Pit, it no longer leads Pit 150 rankings.
Two of the newest classes in the game, Paladin and Warlock, continue to struggle for the second season in a row, as they are the only classes (along with the Necromancer) that remain well short of Pit Tier 150.
This is a very unusual phenomenon for Diablo 4. When Spiritborn was first released in Season 6, it was doing trillions of damage thanks to an unintended bug. Paladin was also a game-breaking class during Season 11, using its uncapped Castle Paragon Node to gain thousands of percent multiplicative damage.
All rankings use the Gear Shown filter disabled for a more complete leaderboard view.
Rogue
Due to some strong pre-season buffs, we predicted the Rogue to do really well in Season 14. But few expected it to dominate the highest echelons of Diablo 4 the way that they’re doing right now. For comparison, out of the 15 best performing clears right now on Helltides, 14 are Rogues. Not only that, but in the first 11 places, Rogues stand alone.
What’s also interesting is that it’s not just one build at the top. Dash Rogue seems to be the strongest build in the game right now, but other Rogue builds such as Rain of Arrows also appear in the leaderboard.
The fastest clear belongs to Tigastite, who holds the best 150 clear achieved in just 3 minutes and 40 seconds.
Spiritborn
Another surprise of Season 14 is the Spiritborn. Early projections for Spiritborn looked pretty grim. Even though the Evade Counterswarm was among the strongest builds in Season 13, the rest of the Spiritborn builds were not even in A tier.
This season, however, sees Spiritborn back on top, with the best clear taking the 12th place in overall rankings, with additional Spiritborn clears in 16th and 17th place. For context, first Barb clear sits only at No. 19. And yes, it’s still the Counterswarm build that continues to carry this class for the second season in a row.

Barbarian
Early projections for the Barbarian expected them to be the lead class once again. For the most part, that is still true. Barbarians have the wildest build variety. Their builds are also much easier to get online and are excellent at farming Torment 12. Still, the emergence of Rogue and Spiritborn builds at the top of the leaderboards has shown that Barbs are not the best class for everything.
The highest-ranked Barbarian Pit 150 clear is 19th overall. The owner of this clear is none other than Rob, one of the most prolific Diablo 4 content creators. His time was 13:39.

Some best Barbarian builds use Charge, but there’s a lot of variety, with Rend and Whirlwind builds represented as well.
Druid
Another class that we projected to do well is Druid. During last season, Companion Druid was the best build for the class, but after some major pre-season nerfs, other builds emerged to fill the gap.
The current top build on the leaderboards is a Storm Shred Druid, a combo that uses two core skills, using Lightning Storm for passive damage.
The best Druid clear is right below Rob’s, with a 14:08 time achieved by [INF]蓝萌君@玉米, and ranked 20th overall.
This is so far the only Druid 150 clear, as the second best clear is currently only on Tier 141, so there is a considerable gap between the top three classes and the rest.

Sorcerer
Sorcerer dominated the leaderboards in Season 13, especially in the amount of builds viable for the Endgame. Season 14 brings Sorcerers down quite a bit, but they’re still a very powerful class.
Currently there are two Pit 150 clears for the Sorcerers, the best one from a player named frog, with the time of 14:17. Second best clear is close behind with just 9 seconds more, sitting at 14:26.
There isn’t much build variety when it comes to top Sorcerer builds, since most of them use Firewall to deal most of the damage. Some other builds include Blizzard, while Incinerate also gets on the Leaderboard.
Necromancer
Necromancers are struggling in Season 14, being one of only three classes that never got close to reaching Pit level 150. In Season 13, Necromancers had an S tier build in Blood Wave. This time however, it has been downgraded to A tier.
Even so, it is not surprising that Blood Wave continues to serve as the top Necromancer build, and The Pit rankings tell the same story.
The best Necromancer clear belongs to [INF]秋葉@黑巫师-血潮, clearing Pit level 139, and placing 68th in the total rankings.
There is a significant gap between this and the second best clear, since it only reached level 130. Check out the 139 run here.
Paladin
The Paladin is among the weakest-performing classes for the second season in a row, and The Pit rankings prove it. The best Paladin clear sits just behind the Necromancer, at Pit level 134. The run was completed in exactly 15:00, meaning that たつひと just barely beat the clock, ranking 105th overall.
The gap between two best clears is huge. Second best Paladin clear only managed to clear Pit level 120, for a ranking of 192nd place overall.
Regarding the builds, the best clear used Clash, with Auradin and Zealot Paladins also making their way to the leaderboard.

Warlock
Warlock rounds out the rankings as the weakest-performing class in Season 14. Despite having probably the best designed skill tree in the game, and oozing with flair, Warlocks found themselves struggling in inaugural Season 13, and never gained much traction.
Unfortunately, Season 14 offers nothing new for Warlocks, as their top Pit clear is only level 133, placing the class last overall
This clear was achieved by Rakta, with a time of 14:15, and an overall rank of 112. The second-best Warlock clear trails just behind, and is ranked 113th.
Lunatic Warlock is the most popular build, but the best clear uses Profane Sentinels to do the most damage, and Tyrant’s Grasp as a support skill.
