Stop Wasting Time – This Is How to Farm Chaos Armor Efficiently

Season 10’s Chaos Armor system has completely changed how endgame farming works in Diablo 4. These upgraded versions of existing Uniques can drop in any gear slot, always roll perfect stats, and include at least one Greater Affix, making them the ultimate goal for any top tier build.

The problem is that random Chaos Armor drops are painfully rare. But players have found one reliable method that turns Chaos Armor into consistent rewards! We are talking about reputation farming with the help of blessings.

Codex of Diablo made an in-depth video about this, if you want to check it out:

What Do You Need for It to Work

  • Max the Urn of Chaos Armor first
    • This guarantees one Chaos Armor piece from every Greater Infernal Cache.
  • Level up the Urn of Reputation next for +20% faster rep gain.
  • Optionally, put extra points into Urn of Chaos Nightmares for more Chaos Rift sigils (and Warp farming).

You can even respec your Seasonal Blessings before opening caches by just moving your points into the Chaos Armor Urn temporarily for a free guaranteed drop each time. Of course, if your journey is completed already, you should have all blessings maxed out.

The Farming Loop

The fastest and most consistent way to get Chaos Armor right now is the reputation loop:

  • Farm Chaos Rifts and Helltides in order to collect Infernal Warp.
  • Trade Warp for Donation Scrolls at the vendor in Ylesna (near the rep board).
  • Use the scrolls to earn reputation.
  • At 110,000 reputation, claim a Greater Infernal Cache for a guaranteed Chaos Armor drop
  • You can repeat the loop endlessly, there is no resource cap or anything.

Most efficient players report 3 to 4 Chaos Armors per hour using this method.

Other Farming Options

  • Infernal Hordes (Bartuc boss)
    • Guaranteed Chaos Armor per clear on Torment III-IV
    • You can get around 3-6 per hour
  • Nightmare Dungeons (Chaos Rift affix)
    • Can reward you 1-2 pieces per hour, depending on how efficient you are with clearing dungeons
  • Mythic Chaos Rifts
    • Best Torment only source, with high Warp and loot rewards
    • Hard to find one, and when you do, hard to get there on time before it gets cleared out by other players

Keep also in mind that Torment III is often the best tier to farm in. It is the sweet spot for most builds with the best efficiency without excessive deaths. Torment IV gives more drops and Bartuc guarantees, but only if your build is strong enough. If not, you will lose time.

Tips to Boost Efficiency

  • Stack 15 to 30% Movement Speed and Cooldown Reduction for better and faster clears
  • Prioritize AoE damage to clear dense packs faster
  • Test builds in lower-tier Helltides before pushing Torment III+
  • Use Elixirs and Incense for buffs you will actually feel, not just a random one for bonus XP
  • Avoid These Mistakes
    • Opening caches before maxing Urn of Chaos Armor.
    • Ignoring the purple buff in Chaos Rifts.
    • Farming Torment tiers that take too long for your build.
    • Hoarding Warp instead of turning it in for scrolls.

If you are still farming Chaos Armor the old-fashioned way, stop. The Reputation farming loop is currently the most efficient method in Diablo 4 Season 10, giving you 3-4 guaranteed Chaos Armors per hour with less frustration.

Now is the time to max it out and start stockpiling those Uniques before Blizzard inevitably changes the drop rates.
