Well met, my Warriors of Light! The North American Fan Festival 2026 for Final Fantasy XIV begins tomorrow, Friday, April 24th, and we’re this close to frothing at the mouth waiting for the keynote. Of course, there is more to Fan Fest that just the keynote. We’re just excited to cover all of the big announcements on content and perhaps even system changes!
Also, I should warn anyone attending the Anaheim Convention Center to look out for one particularly devious creature. They look poised to annihilate just about anyone in their way with that soulless, glossy, wide-eyed stare. Be wary of your surroundings, travelers!
What We’re Expecting from the Keynote
From the hints that we’ve gotten from the 91st and 92nd Live Letters, these are only some of the things we anticipate from the keynote:
- The Main Scenario Quest‘s focus is shifting back to the Warrior of Light’s own journey. Can we expect an explanation on why we’re headed back to Garlemald?
- So far we’ve learned that Patch 7.5 will have a housing placement limit increase, the dye consolidation update, and crafting quality of life changes, among other system changes. What else could they have up their sleeve?
- While we could get more Beastmaster information, we’re holding out for its own dedicated stream with (hopefully) Mr. Ozma. ✨
- The long awaited Ultimate raid details?! Perhaps we’ll get a name for the raid? Preferably a release date, too? 👀
I’m unfortunately not psychic, but I’m sure there will be plenty more shared with us. After all, Yoshi-P was concerned they wouldn’t be able to fit everything they want to share in the allotted time.

Thoughts on the Ultimate Raid?
Speaking of the Ultimate, we can take a look back at all the Ultimate reveals up until now thanks to this nifty compilation video from Green DPS on YouTube. Compared to the UCoB and UwU reveals that included the bosses you had to face, this one for Patch 7.5 keeps any hints on what to expect hidden.
We’re curious to see what other bosses will be included in the encounter. Surely we aren’t only fighting Kefka for 5+ phases, right?! Though with his promise to ‘spice things up’, I suppose anything can happen.
