Prepare plenty of sunscreen, Warriors of Light! Final Fantasy XIV‘s annual recurring event, the Moonfire Faire, is making its return for 2026! Each year, the event’s iterations have had slightly different rewards. This year, rather than a summery glamour or celebrating the heat with an emote, a new mount is up for grabs! Decorate your front lawn with the new inflatable furnishings or reminisce on past Moonfire Faires with posters and tabletop pictures. Don’t miss out on this year’s rewards!
Event Duration & Details
The event starts next week on Wednesday, August 12th, 2026 at 1:00 a.m. and runs until Wednesday, August 26th, 2026 at 7:59 a.m. (PDT). Make sure to participate ASAP before you forget since event quests cannot be completed after the event duration! Besides, the quest duration is typically short so set aside about thirty minutes to get it done. That doesn’t include the time to enjoy the scenery or to see your favourite NPCs enjoying the Faire!

As is the usual since 2016, head to Limsa Lominsa, Upper Decks and speak with Mayaru Moyaru (X:11.5 Y:13.8) to begin the event. Players need to be at least level 30 to participate in the festivities. Last year we boarded the Queen Lhaminn that had cannons, slides, and most importantly, a new jump puzzle. Will this year see a return to that ship or our usual tower? Perhaps we’ll find a new puzzle to conquer? 👀
Let’s Ride The Waves, Kupo! New Event Rewards

This year, we finally have a new mount as a Moonfire Faire reward. Check out the Inflatable Mograft pictured above! Additionally, the Lawn Mograft, Lawn Chocobo Raft, and Lawn Bomb Raft are available as outdoor furnishings.

In terms of indoor furnishings, the key art for Moonfire Faire 2025, pictured above, can be obtained as a wall-mounted poster and as a tabletop picture. Meanwhile, the key art for Moonfire Faire 2017, shown below, is available as a poster.

Collect Rewards While They’re Free

The last time a mount was available from Moonfire Faire was back in 2021 with the Polar Bear mount. As is the usual for past event rewards, it can be purchased from the Final Fantasy XIV Online Store and it costs $12.00 USD. Don’t make the mistake of forgetting and needing to pay later for the cute new mount.
While the Moonfire Faire vendor does sell items from past events, they are just seasonal consumables like the Flame Tracer. You can celebrate victory with these mini fireworks and sparklers, but don’t expect to find past glamours or emotes in the vendor’s stock. Again, make sure to do this year’s events while they’re available and free!
Personally, I’m looking forward to traversing the North Horn on the inflatable mount. Maybe you’ll find me skating by as I spam FATEs to level my Phantom Jobs! Anyways, keep an eye out for more FFXIV news on Icy Veins!
