Final Fantasy XIV players, your fashion dreams (or nightmares) are about to come true. During the recent livestream, the dev team revealed a massive upcoming change for Patch 7.4! It is none other than the long-awaited glamour restriction change! Soon, you will be able to equip any glamour regardless of class, job, or level.
What Exactly Does It Mean
This change is massive for Final Fantasy XIV players, since it means your Paladin can finally rock a White Mage robe, or your Black Mage can ditch the cloaks and cast spells in full plate armor. Basically, fashion freedom has arrived, and Eorzea is about to look wild!
Weapons and tools still have to match their class type, so you can not swing a staff as a Gunbreaker, but all clothing pieces are fair game. This makes sense given the fact the weapons have specific animations, and even lore-wise, it would not make sense to use Black Mage Spells while wearing a sword and shield for example.
The only problem now is that players will need more glamour slots, because we are about to fill them all!
Square Enix even said they are excited to see all the “creative combinations players come up with” once the change hits in Patch 7.4.
So get yourself ready, empty your glam dresser, because come 7.4… style has no limits!
