Greetings, Warriors of Light! The Final Fantasy XIV Make It Rain Campaign is back for another year of Gold Saucer entertainment. đź’° This year, we have some otterly adorable prizes waiting for us!
If you’re crazy like me, you haven’t taken off the Otter Backpack since it was mistakenly available when Patch 7.5 released. They did patch the bug out, but you thankfully won’t have to wait too long now! Plus, another new little friend arrives as a package deal!
Event Duration and Perks
The seasonal event runs from Friday, May 29th, 2026 at 1:00 a.m. to Wednesday, June 24th, 2026 at 7:59 a.m. (PDT). Of course, dates and times are always subject to change, so beware of waiting until the last minute to complete the event!
Before you begin, players need to be level 15 or above and have completed the quest It Could Happen to You from the Well-heeled Youth in Ul’dah – Steps of Nald (X:9.6 Y:9.0). Once that is done, seek out Ollier in Ul’dah – Steps of Nald (X:9.4 Y:9.1).
Throughout the event’s duration, enjoy 50% more MGP awarded from the Gold Saucer. Take advantage of the boost and halve the grind for those goodies you’ve been eyeing. Suddenly that 4 million MGP Blackjack mount becomes half as daunting. Completing the fashion report weekly is a quick and painless way to amass a solid chunk of MGP. Breeze through them by checking out Reddit user u/Gottesstrafe’s posts for handy infographics like the one below.
Event Rewards
The featured seasonal quest rewards this year include a Senor Otter minion and a Senor Otter Pack fashion accessory. Meanwhile, the indoor furnishings with the key art for the 2024 and 2025 Make It Rain Campaigns will be available from the event shopkeeper, the Campaign Attendant.
Based on previous iterations of the event, we can expect that the event shop will include MGP discounts on a variety of weapon and gear glamours. Additionally, various miscellaneous housing furnishings and Triple Triad cards will also be on sale. Take home some of that Gold Saucer revelry and collect MGP discounted furnishing versions of mini-games like the Out on a Limb Machine.
Don’t miss out on the limited-time rewards! Certain housing items may be obtainable again from the Campaign Attendant in future years. However, event quest rewards such as the Wind-Up Godbert minion (from 2023) or the Imp Attire (from 2024) are now Final Fantasy XIV Online Store optional purchases. Best to nab this year’s otters for free rather than paying a price for them later.
