The Occult Crescent: South Horn, released in Patch 7.25, introduced players to Phantom Jobs, supplemental jobs that can be used only in the Occult Crescent. Patch 7.55 later gave us the Phantom Blue Mage Job and with it a new batch of spells. Here’s where you can find the enemies that will “teach” you Phantom Blue Mage spells in the North Horn 👩🏫
How to Unlock the Phantom Blue Mage Job (It’s Easy!)

Before finding enemies to engage in battle with, you’ll need to unlock the Phantom Blue Mage Job. This process is simple, so don’t worry.
In the northeast corner of the North Horn map, participate in the Appalling Behavior Critical Engagement and defeat Pallmagia to unlock Phantom Blue Mage. Acquiring the required Soul Shard will likely take several attempts. Just keep at it.
Eventually, you’ll earn the Phantom Blue Mage Job. Note that the Job is divided into three levels. You’ll ascend to the next level after you earn enough experience points. A new Phantom Blue Mage starts at Level 1. Level 2 requires 9,900 experience points, while Level 3 needs 21,600.
Level 1 Phantom Blue Mage Spells in the North Horn

Occult Aero dispenses 150 potency of wind damage, which increases to 195 against targets weak to wind. Fortunately, this spell is gifted to you upon unlocking Phantom Blue Mage. No other action is required.
Occult Missile attacks the enemy with a 35% chance to deal damage equal to 75% of its current HP. You don’t have to leave after defeating Pallmagia to procure this spell. You can simply stay and wait to engage in the Appalling Behavior CE again.
Occult Aqua Breath deals unaspected damage with a potency of 300 to the primary target and nearby enemies. If you’re still in the northeast area, engage in battle with Level 29 Crescent Stoneshells at X:31, Y:8.
Level 2 and 3 Phantom Blue Mage Spells in the North Horn

Occult Aero 2 deals wind damage with a potency of 200, which increases to 260 against enemies weak to wind. This spell replaces Occult Aero once the player learns it. Fight Level 32 Crescent Anila in the Suspended Masonry area at X:16, Y:37. This spell and Occult Mighty Guard below unlock at Level 2.
Occult Mighty Guard reduces the damage you and your teammates take by 20%. You’ll find Level 22 Crescent Bibliotaphs near the southeast corner of the map at X:38, Y:31.
Occult Aero 3 deals wind damage with a potency of 250 to the primary target and any enemies near it. It replaces Occult Aero 2. Head to the northwest corner of map to fight the Alabaster Blade in the Quarried Away Critical Encounter. This spell and Occult White Wind below unlock at Level 3.
Occult White Wind restores your HP and the HP of nearby teammates by an amount equal to your current HP. Visit the top half of the southwest island at X:5, Y:36 to find Level 42 Crescent Flames. Keep in mind that they’ll wait until they’re low on health before performing this action on themselves.
You’re All Done … For Now

After you’ve acquired every spell in the North Horn, you’ve become the ultimate Blue Mage. That is, until Evercold arrives in January 2027, barring unforeseen delays. Until then, you have plenty of time to obtain any missing Blue Mage spells if you’ve fallen behind on Blue Mage spell farming. We know who you are.
