Player Housing Pets Are Here in WoW Patch 12.1 — Here’s How They Work

Pets have finally landed in Player Housing with Patch 12.1—and here are the details!

Pets can be placed in your house through various pet bed decor items, sold by Agratha (/way 53.62, 54.46) in Razorwind Shores, and Perry Winkles (/way 53.82, 41.69) in Founder’s Point. These items cost 5 decor budget each.

To assign a pet to a pet bed, interact with the decor item through the customize option while in Edit House mode. Here you will be able to choose which pet to assign, and whether you want the pet to be roaming or stationary. Currently, only non-combat pets can be assigned to pet beds

When stationary, the pet will appear on top of the bed pet item, as seen with Mr. Bigglesworth below.

Roaming pets will walk around within a radius of the decor item, as seen with the other pets in the image.

And yes—pets can also be placed outside too! However, these pets are limited to stationary only.

But what happens if you want a house full of Boneshards, but you only have three? No worries! You can assign the same pet multiple times to different ped beds!

However, the system does come with some limits. You can currently place up to 100 pet beds inside, and 25 pet beds outside of your home. These limits can also be viewed when importing housing Blueprints.

Overall, the addition of pets makes Player Housing feel much more alive. It’s a perfect opportunity to display some of your collection, and perhaps even 12.1’s new secret pet!
