The WoW Season 1 Mythic+ Meta Is Already Forming – These Tanks and Healers Lead

Starym's Avatar by Starym

We’re one week away from the start of Season 1 so it’s time to start checking up on the top specs! There will be one more class tuning pass on the day the season itself starts, so this is the best information we will have until then. Let’s dive into the dungeons and raids.

Tanks for Mythic+

Basically, all the tanks are looking pretty good in the dungeons! Only Blood DK failed to get at least an A rating, and Brewmaster and Guardian soar above the rest as they look like they’ll be the meta for now. While there is going to be tuning on the day of the Season launch, tanks usually take a while longer to balance, so this may be it for a longer span.

SGuardian Druid

A+Protection Paladin
AProtection Warrior
BBlood Death Knight

Healers in Mythic+

Similar to the tanks, we see only one spec in the lower tiers. Preservation sits on the bottom and is branded by a B. The S and A+ specs are much fewer here, however, as only Druid and Paladin manage to separate themselves from the large A-tier crowd. Resto Druid sits on top and is looking like the single best pick.

ARestoration Shaman
ADiscipline Priest
BPreservation Evoker

That’s it for our outlook for Mythic+ for the season! With the lower amount of class tuning coming, this could be a more stable expansion launch than usual. However, that will depend on the sheer amount of tuning coming in each larger wave, so it remains to be seen.
