Patch 12.1 hits servers later today, but Season 2 doesn’t start until next week, giving you some downtime to explore the new content and prepare your characters!
Grab the available gear, experience the new content, and fill up your Great Vault for Season 2’s first week. That being said, there’s no need to burn yourself out trying to do everything. But, if you want some pointers on what to prioritise this week, here’s our 12.1 week one checklist!
Patch 12.1 Week One Checklist
Complete the Campaign — This one goes without saying. Follow the new story and unlock the new content on the Coiled Isle.
Explore the Coiled Isle — Discover the new zone, and complete Curse Surges, Patch 12.1’s new world activity.
The Tidebound Grotto — Lairs are coming with Patch 12.1, Blizzard’s new evolution of World Bosses. Nymrissa Wavecaller will be available to face on World difficulty this week, with Normal, Heroic, and Mythic Flex unlocking next week.
Run Mythic 0s — M0 dungeons drop ilvl 292 gear, and have a weekly lockout during this first week.
Run Altar of Fangs — Get familiar with 12.1’s new Dungeon before it joins the Mythic+ rotation next week.
New Delves, New Nemesis — Try out 12.1’s three new Delves, The Ring of Glory, Gnarldor Isle, and Venomfall Deeps in which you’ll take on Season 2’s Nemesis. The new Nemesis will be available on ? tier this week, with ?? tier unlocking next week.
Complete Normal and Hard Prey — Normal and Hard Prey difficulties will be available this week, with Nightmare unlocking with Season 2 next week.
Player Housing — Check out the new features coming to Player Housing, including new Endeavors, Pets, Blueprints, and tonnes of new decor!
Have fun — There is no need to rush everything on this list. Take it at your own pace and remember to enjoy the Curse of Ula’tek!
