Now that Remielle is finally available in Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) Version 3.1, one question has quickly taken over community discussions: does she actually replace Yuzuha? Now that players have had the chance to test the new Void Hunter for themselves, it seems the answer is more nuanced than many expected.
There’s little doubt that Remielle has the higher ceiling. Her buffs are stronger and her personal damage is significantly higher, as one might expect of a Void Hunter sharing the same role. But after digging through her kit and comparing it to Yuzuha’s, it has become clear that those advantages come with some very real trade-offs that may or may not be worth it to you.
Remielle Is Stronger If You Can Meet Her Requirements
Unlike Yuzuha, Remielle isn’t simply dropped into any Anomaly team and expected to perform. To get the most out of her kit, she practically demands three Anomaly Agents. That restriction alone immediately makes her less flexible than Yuzuha, who comfortably supports nearly every Anomaly composition in the game regardless of its exact lineup.
While Remielle provides a lot of personal damage, it’s also not that easy to access without some practice. She scales with the performance of her teammates, meaning the better your other Agents are built, the stronger she becomes. That’s fantastic for highly invested accounts, but it also means players with weaker gear, unfinished Drive Discs, or underbuilt teammates, won’t see nearly the same results. Yuzuha, by comparison, asks far less of the rest of your roster to perform at a high level.
There’s also one important misconception already floating around the community. While Remielle dramatically improves Anomaly damage, she doesn’t actually speed up Anomaly buildup. In fact, because one of your team slots is effectively dedicated to another support instead of another fast Anomaly applier, some teams may trigger Disorders less frequently than they would with Yuzuha.
For Anomaly agents like Vivian, who has historically struggled to apply her Anomaly quickly, you may have issues making good use of Remielle. This is also why Velina is her best teammate, and why Burnice is seeing a major come back in the meta. High anomaly application build-up teammates are ideal for Remielle, a limitation Yuzuha doesn’t have to worry about as much.
Should You Pull Remielle If You Already Own Yuzuha?
This is where things get interesting. The answer to the question is “yes, but maybe no, but sometimes”. 🙂
If you’re looking for the strongest possible premium Anomaly team and don’t mind investing heavily into your roster, Remielle absolutely looks like an upgrade. Between her stronger buffs and impressive personal damage, she’ll likely become the preferred option for optimized endgame teams.
But if you already own Yuzuha, aren’t planning to build a second Anomaly team, or simply value flexibility, the decision becomes much harder. Yuzuha remains one of the best Supports in ZZZ even after Remielle’s release. She still fits into far more team compositions, asks much less from the rest of your roster, and continues to perform at an exceptionally high level. But unlike previous Void Hunter releases, Remielle does not completely overshadow Yuzuha.
So, is Remielle powercreeping Yuzuha? Technically, yes. Practically, it is much more nuanced than that, and for many players, an already built Yuzuha is still going to be deliver great or possibly better results.
