Burgeon Elemental Reaction in Genshin Impact

Burgeon is an Elemental Reaction caused by applying Pyro onto Bloom's Dendro Cores. Once applied, a Dendro Core will immediately explode dealing AoE Dendro DMG.

Dendro Cores triggered by Burgeon cannot CRIT, with the exception of Nahida's The Root of All Fullness (C2). They will also damage your on-field character as well as enemies and in content such as Spiral Abyss, they will damage the Monoliths you sometimes need to defend.

Listed below are some characters which effectively utilise the Burgeon Elemental Reaction. This is not a definitive list and many Pyro, Hydro or Dendro characters can be used.

Character	Explanation
Thoma	Thoma is an amazing character for Burgeon teams, his Pyro application comes from Crimson Ooyoroi. The slow off-field Pyro application from this shield allows time for Dendro Cores to be generated by your on-field characters. Characters with a lot of Pyro application are unsuited for this role because they create too much Burning instead of Bloom.
Xingqiu	Xingqiu is a powerful SubDPS who can easily apply Hydro off-field making him great for Bloom reactions so that other characters can use the Dendro Cores for Burgeon.
Nahida	Nahida has incredibly powerful Dendro application making her great in any Burgeon team. Additionally, her unique C2 The Root of All Fullness allowing Burgeon explosions to CRIT at a fixed rate helps to massively increase Burgeon DMG.
