Geo Characters, Elemental Reactions, and Resonance in Genshin Impact

The Geo Element in Genshin Impact represents the power of earth. Geo characters excel at creating shields as well as Geo constructs, which can often provide protection and unique terrain manipulation.

Geo often has associations with more defensive gameplay with Geo's sole Elemental Reaction being Crystallize, which creates shards on the field. These Elemental Shards create a shield of a specific element with the character.

Geo has the following reactions when combined with other elements:

Crystallize	Geo x (Pyro or Hydro or Electro or Cryo)	Picking up a Shard created by the Crystallize reaction will create an Elemental Shield of any of the applicable Elements for your character.

Geo characters often have the ability to create what is known as a Geo Construct. These constructs serve various purposes depending on the character, ranging from dealing damage to providing platforms for exploration.

They are created through the talents and abilities of Geo characters like Albedo, Zhongli, Ningguang, and the Geo Traveler. Additionally, certain enemies, such as Geo Samachurls and the Geo Hypostasis, can also generate Geo Constructs.

Players can have a maximum of three player-made Geo Constructs simultaneously in their world, including in Co-Op Mode. This limit does not apply to Geo Constructs created by enemies or the Geo Traveler's Wake of Earth.

Many Geo Constructs are also incredibly fragile and will break when larger enemies or bosses interact or even get close to them. It is important to note that this limitation is with the intent to balance gameplay and to prevent explotation of an enemies AI by blocking their pathing or elevating their position.

Not to be mistaken with the Geo Resonance Ending Rock listed below. Zhongli's Stone Stele from Dominus Lapidis has a unique effect allowing it to resonate with other Geo Constructs.

This makes nearby constructs deal AoE Geo DMG while a Stone Stele is active on-field. If there are two Steles from Zhongli's constellation Rock, the Backbone of Earth, then they will both create individual resonances with nearby structures.

Geo's Elemental Resonance is Enduring Rock which can be activated when at least 2 Geo characters are in the party. This has the following effects:

• Increases shield strength by 15%.
• Characters protected by a shield will have 15% increased DMG dealt.
• While protected by a shield, dealing DMG to enemies will also decrease their GEO RES by 20% for 15s.
