Hydro Characters, Elemental Reactions, and Resonance in Genshin Impact

The Hydro Element in Genshin Impact represents the power of water. Hydro characters often excel in Elemental Reactions with Hydro having access to six different Reactions, three of which can then be used to enable Shatter, Hyperbloom and Burgeon.

Hydro characters are often associated with Healing and HP-based scaling or effects with Hydro's Elemental Resonance increasing a characters Max HP.

Hydro has the following reactions when combined with other elements:

Bloom	(Dendro x Hydro) or (Quicken x Hydro)	Creates a Dendro core which will later explode. Also enables the reactions Hyperbloom with Electro and Burgeon with Pyro.
Crystallize	Geo x (Pyro or Hydro or Electro or Cryo)	Picking up a Shard created by the Crystallize reaction will create a Hydro shield for your character.
Electro-Charged	Hydro x Electro	Deals Electro DMG over time to nearby targets affected by Hydro.
Frozen	Hydro x Cryo	Gives the enemy a Freeze status and encases them in ice.
Swirl	Anemo x (Pyro or Hydro or Electro or Cryo)	Spreads and Absorbs Hydro.
Vaporize	Pyro x Hydro	Deals either 1.5x or 2x damage based on the order in which the Elements are applied.

Some characters have the ability to apply Hydro either to themselves or to your on-field character with the application of Hydro being called the Wet status. The Wet status itself has no effects but will enable other Elemental Reactions. For example being hit by Cryo will cause Freeze. Teyvat's enviroment can also apply Wet either when it is raining or if your character interacts with a body of water.

Abilities such as Barbara's Let the Show Begin♪ applies the on-field character with Wet, this allows you to be able to "cleanse" any Elemental Status already on your character.

Hydro can safely cleanse Pyro but will create reactions if used against Electro and Cryo.

Hydro's Elemental Resonance is Soothing Water which can be activated when at least 2 Hydro characters are in the party. This makes your characters affected by Pyro for 40% less time and increases HP by 25%.
