Clorinde Guide and Best Builds for Genshin Impact
Clorinde is an upcoming 5-star Electro Sword character in Genshin Impact. Our Clorinde guide and build will focus on Clorinde's best weapons, best artifacts, skills, constellations and Clorinde's best teams. As she is still in her beta, this guide will change alongside beta changes each week. Her base kit looks so far to revolve around stacking Bond of Life to increase the damage on her Elemental skill.
Clorinde Introduction
Clorinde is an upcoming 5-star Electro character to be released in patch 4.7. Our preliminary guide will cover Ascensions, Talents, Constellations as well as some Tentative building advice. Please be aware that this can change throughout the beta. Many skills, talents and constellations will have balance adjustments and therefore how best to build Clorinde can also change.
Clorinde's Ascensions, Talents and Constellations
So far, Clorinde's Beta changes has been relatively small. She received a small buff to some of her scalings on her skill first, then her signiture weapon had a slight buff to the effect. Her latest changes has mostly been localization and a nerf to the duration of her Elemental Skill.

Type | Talent Name | Skill Explanation |
---|---|---|
Normal | Targeted Treatment |
Normal Attack Performs up to 5 consecutive attacks with her Sword. As of right now, her 3rd hit has 2 attacks and the 4th hit has 3 attacks. Charged Attack Consumes 20 Stamina to dash forward, slashing and fanning her pistol. Plunging Attack Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact. |
Elemental Skill | Hunter's Vigil |
Preparing her pistolet, she enters the "Night Vigil" state, using steel and shot together. In this state, Clorinde's Normal Attacks will be transformed into "Swift Hunt" pistolet attacks, and the DMG dealt is converted into Electro DMG that cannot be overridden by infusions. Her Elemental Skill will be transformed into "Impale the Night": Performs a lunging attack, dealing Electro DMG. The DMG done through the aforementioned method is considered Normal Attack DMG. Swift Hunt
Impale the Night
In addition, when Clorinde is in the Night Vigil state, healing effects other than Impale the Night will not take effect and will instead be converted into a Bond of Life that is a percentage of the healing that would have been received. Arkhe: Ousia Periodically, when Clorinde's pistolet shots strike opponents, a Surging Blade will fall on their position, dealing Ousia-aligned Electro DMG. |

Clorinde's Constellations
# | Name | Explanation |
---|---|---|
C1 | "From This Day, I Pass the Candle's Shadow-Veil" | While Hunter's Vigil's Night Vigil state is active, when Electro DMG from Clorinde's Normal Attacks hit opponents, they will trigger 2 coordinated attack from a Nightwatch Shade summoned near the hit opponent, each dealing 30% of Clorinde's ATK as Electro DMG. This effect can occur once every 1s. DMG dealt this way is considered Normal Attack DMG. |
C2 | "Now, As We Face the Perils of the Long Night" |
The Passive Talent "Dark-Shattering Flame" will be buffed: After a nearby party member triggers a Electro-related reaction against an opponent, Electro DMG dealt by Normal Attacks and Last Lightfall will be increased by 30% of Clorinde's ATK for 15s. Max 3 buff stacks. Each stack is counted independently. When you have 3 stacks,Clorinde's interruption resistance will be increased. The Maximum DMG increase achievable through such attacks is 2,700. You must first unlock the Passive Talent "Dark-Shattering Flame." |
C3 | "I Pledge to Remember the Oath of Daylight" |
|
C4 | "To Enshrine Tears, Life, and Love" | When Last Lightfall deals DMG to opponent(s), DMG dealt is increased based on Clorinde's Bond of Life percentage. Every 1% of her current Bond of Life will increase Last Lightfall DMG by 2%. The maximum Last Lightfall DMG increase achievable this way is 200%. |
C5 | "Holding Dawn's Coming as My Votive" |
|
C6 | "And So Shall I Never Despair" |
For 12s after Hunter's Vigil is used, Clorinde's CRIT Rate will be increased by 10%, and her CRIT DMG by 70%. Additionally, while Night Vigil is active, a Glimbright Shade will appear under specific circumstances, decreasing DMG dealt to Clorinde by 80% for 1s and increasing her interruption resistance; it will also attack opponents, dealing 200% of Clorinde's ATK as Electro DMG. DMG dealt this way is considered Normal Attack DMG. The Glimbright Shade will appear under the following circumstances:
1 Glimbright Shade can be summoned in the aforementioned ways every Xs. 6 Shades can be summoned per single Night Vigil duration. |
Clorinde DPS Build
Specific rankings for weapons, artifacts and substats are not going to be mentioned for the moment until further updates arrive for Clorinde's kit. This is because specifics can easily change during the beta.
Clorinde's initial kit looks to be solid mechanically, however she has already received 1 set of buffs in the Beta, so this can change really fast. With how her current kit is, she gets a lot of free CRIT Rate, both from her 2st Ascension talent and from Ascending her.

Clorinde's best weapon is shaping up to be her signature weapon Absolution. Not only is it a CRIT DMG weapon, it also ties for the highest base Attack on Swords, on top of its effect increasing CRIT DMG even further. Its effect is easy to maintain, as Clorinde has no issue generating and clearing Bond of Life as of right now. Other options are also swords that complements Clorinde's kit really well. Just be aware of Haran Geppaku Futsu, as this weapon gives CRIT Rate instead of CRIT DMG. At lv90, it gives 33.08%, which means you will baseline have 75.08% CRIT Rate as of how the Beta kit looks right now. This drops the value of CRIT Rate drastically.
Mistsplitter Reforged as a base, is the exact same as Absolution, and Mistsplitter's Effect is easy to maintain as long as you use your Burst as it comes up. The Black Sword is an easy weapon to pick up, as it is on the Battle Pass, which buffs your Normal Attacks and gives you a small heal now and then, which will be converted to Bond of Life. This weapon also gives CRIT Rate, although slightly less. Nevertheless, it drops your need for CRIT Rate significantly.
Clorinde's Artifact Sets seems to be set in stone unless there are significant changes to how her kit works. As of right now, Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy will probably be the set she will use, however Gladiator's Finale is the easiest to passively farm as you can get this from any world boss.
With regards to stat priorities, Clorinde initially looks like a Main DPS or an Electro Driver, with a heavy focus on ATK % and CRIT DMG, as her kit gives her a lot of free CRIT Rate. Energy Recharge is not a bad stat either, as her Burst does lean into her Skill by generating a lot of Bond of Life instantly.
Clorinde Team Comps
Due to how Clorinde's Electro application works, she will most likely see a lot of use with Aggravate / other Dendro related team comps. However it is very early in the beta, so this might change along with Beta updates.
Some possible combinations could include other Electro Related combinations, like Quickbloom, Overload, Taser and maybe Sunfire.
Combos and How to Play Clorinde
As it looks right now, Clorinde's kit seems to revolve around her Elemental Skill. When used, she will enter a new stance akin to Childe, where her Normal Attack gets converted. Unlike Childe, the Cooldown of her skill seems static. During this period, her skill changes into a lunge attack which will clear all Bond of Life on her to increase its effects.
Her Normal Attacks will generate Bond of Life if you are below 100% Bond. Any healing received during this stance will generate Bond of Life instead of healing. The Lunge attack has 3 stages based on how much Bond of Life you have, where its damage increases with each stage. The 1st stage only happens if you have no Bond of Life and only deals damage, while the 2 other stages will convert the Bond of Life cleared, into healing. Something else to note, is that she has no use for Elemental Skill DMG, as all the DMG from her Skill is considered Normal Attack DMG instead.
Her skill multipliers seems low on paper, however these are not only subject to change, but her 1st Ascension talent also buffs them as it increases the base DMG. Currently we do not know if the stacks created from the reactions have to be unique, or if causing the same reaction 3 times work.
