Elemental Infusion in Genshin Impact

Elemental infusions in Genshin Impact allow Sword, Claymore, and Polearm users to change the damage type of their Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks from Physical to elemental damage. This differs from elemental conversions, which completely replace a character's Normal Attack moveset with Elemental versions and cannot be overridden.

Infusions instead keep a characters moveset the same, continue to scale off of Normal Attacks and can generally be overridden. Infusions apply an elemental aura to the weapon itself, highlighted by the corresponding element's color when using the Elemental Sight ability. This also allows a characters Normal Attack to utilise its Internal Cooldown.

The example above is of Diluc when using Dawn he infuses himself with Pyro. When using Elemental Sight you can clearly see the entire weapon including the handle go red. But with the case of Diluc specifically, his weapon also has a fire effect. Not all infusions have an effect to go with it.

Listed below is a table of each character, what part of their skill provides an Elemental Infusion and also if the infusion is for themselves or for other characters.

Currently, only 3 characters have the ability to Infuse other characters' weapons. That being Bennett, Chongyun and Candace with Bennett and Chongyun providing an AoE which you have to be inside of for the infusion to take effect.
