Vaporize Elemental Reaction in Genshin Impact

Vaporize is an Elemental Reaction caused by applying Pyro onto Hydro and vice versa. This amplifies the damage of whichever Element triggers the reaction.

Depending on the order you apply Hydro and Pyro, you will deal different amounts of damage. These are commonly referred to as Forward or Reverse Vape.

• Hydro then Pyro triggers Reverse Vaporize dealing 1.5x Pyro DMG.
• Pyro then Hydro triggers Forward Vaporize dealing 2x Hydro DMG.

Reverse Vaporize is by far the more common way this reaction will occur because there are very few setups currently in which you can have enough Pyro maintained on an enemy for powerful Hydro attacks to react on to.

Listed below are some characters which effectively utilise the vaporize Elemental Reaction. This is not a definitive list and many Pyro or Hydro characters can be used.

Character	Explanation
Xiangling	Xiangling is an incredible SubDPS who can regularly create Vaporize reactions using Pyronado. Due to pyronado spinning around the active character, it can also help to create powerful reactions in an AoE situation. Pyronado DMG and Guoba's Flame have no ICD making them great for Elemental Reactions.
Xingqiu	Xingqiu is a powerful 4-star SubDPS who can easily apply Hydro off-field. Using Guhua Sword: Raincutter the on-field character can apply Hydro every time your character attacks which is great for Elemental Reactions.
Hu Tao	Hu Tao is a powerful 5-star DPS who primarily focuses on Vaporize reaction damage. Her Charged Attacks are converted into Pyro DMG due to Guide to Afterlife to deal powerful damage to enemies which already have Hydro applied to them.
Yelan	Yelan is a powerful SubDPS who functions similarly to Xingqiu, she can also easily apply Hydro to enemies while off-field due to her Burst Depth-Clarion Dice.
