Blizzard Just Made It Way Easier to Test the Warlock on D2R’s PTR

The Warlock is one of the most complex and versatile classes in Diablo II Resurrected, introduced with the Reign of the Warlock expansion as the first new class in 25 years. Between its three skill trees covering elemental spellcasting, demon binding, and melee combat, it can feel a little overwhelming, especially if you are jumping straight into endgame testing on the PTR.

Blizzard just made that a lot easier. Following community feedback, four fully geared endgame Warlock templates are now live on the 3.2 PTR (Public Test Realm), ready to use on your next login. Each one covers a different playstyle, so you can jump straight into the build that interests you most without grinding a single item:

  • AbyssLock for magic damage and chaos spellcasting
  • EchoingLock for the Eldritch strike-based playstyle
  • FireLock for fire damage through the Chaos tree
  • TaintedLock for demon binding and summoning

Two additional mule templates, BaseItems and Runes, have also been added to cover any extra needs you might have during testing.

If you have been sitting on the fence about trying the Warlock, this is a pretty good excuse to finally download the PTR and see what the class can do at its best.
