Build Introduction
The Earth Bear Landslide Druid build is based around using Legendary aspects to increase the damage Landslide deals while also automating it off the Werebear skill Trample. This is your guide to building a character for endgame activities in Diablo 4, with the optimal setup for skills, gear and Paragon points.
Landslide is the highest base damage Core Skill that Druid has access to and we do everything we can to not only make it stronger, but also through the use of Trample make it a true screen-wide clear. Aspect of The Aftershock removes the Spirit cost for the recast of Landslide while also increasing the damage dealt by each successive hit. Aspect of the Trampled Earth causes Trample to cast six waves of Landslide along the path you travel with it. When you combine these two Aspects, you get a total of 12 waves of Landslide, filling your entire screen with earth-shattering AoE damage.
These Aspects, combined with the Skill Tree, Paragon Boards and some optional Uniques will make you a rampaging Bear of Destruction capable of clearing full packs with the press of one button. This build is capable of taking you into the endgame, achieving Level 100, and beyond.
Strengths and Weaknesses
- Great clearing AoE with Trample
- Permanent Werebear Form with Uniques
- Trample is very satisfying to play and watch
- SIngle-target requires manual targeting and can be difficult to get used to
- Two Uniques required to become tanky
- Requires cooldown management

Paragon
We recommend using the following Legendary nodes and Rare Glyphs to truly take this build into the endgame. Note that each Rare Glyph’s information and radius listed below is for the Level 21 version.
1. Starting Board
For the Starting Board path up along the right side, heading upward to place a Werebear into the glyph slot while allocating all the Willpower Nodes within the radius. Follow this up by grabbing most of the Magic Nodes and both Rare Nodes before exiting at the top and attaching Survival Instincts.
2. Survival Instincts
Rotate the Survival Instincts Paragon Board until it is oriented the same as in the image above. Head left, grabbing the Rare and Magic Nodes on your way towards the Survival Instincts Legendary Node. Once this Node has been nabbed, head back to the start and grab the Rare and Magic Nodes on the right before taking the left side path up and placing Spirit in the glyph slot, grabbing all the Rare and Magic Nodes within the radius. Finish by heading to the left while grabbing the Rare and Magic Nodes along the way. Exit on the left side and attach Earthen Devastation.
3. Earthen Devastation
Rotate the Earthen Devastation Paragon Board until it’s oriented the same as in the image above. Path downward to grab the Rare and Magic Nodes, then left and upward to grab the Earthen Devastation Legendary Node. From here, head towards the glyph slot and place Undaunted in the slot, taking all the Intelligence and all the Magic and Rare Nodes shown in the image above. Finally, head back to the Survival Instincts Paragon Board and head out the right side of it, this time grabbing the Rare and Magic Nodes along the way.
4. Constricting Tendrils
The final board, Constricting Tendrils, should be rotated until it is oriented the same as in the image above. First, we head down and to the right to grab the Rare and Magic Nodes, then continue as shown to get the Constricting Tendrils Legendary Node. Path upward and grab the Rare and Magic Nodes as we path to the glyph slot to place Territorial into the glyph slot and allocate all the Dexterity and all the Magic and Rare Nodes shown in the image above.

Which Elixirs Should You Use?
Visit the Alchemist and craft an Elixir providing any Resistance you need most, or the Elixir of Advantage to increase Attack Speed. Some Elixirs cannot be crafted and only drop from things like Helltides or Nightmare Dungeons. Additionally, make sure to keep your health potion upgraded!

Affixes on the same line are considered to be equally important. Bolded affixes are the most important targets for Masterworking upgrades. Additionally, there are several very specific affixes that are required to make the build work, they are as follows:
- Earth Augments: [13 – 17.5%] Chance for Landslide Projectiles to Cast Twice
- Worldly Fortune: Lucky Hit: Up to a [13.5 – 22.5%] Chance to Immobilize for 2 Seconds

Rotation and Playstyle
Our damage rotation is actually a priority system and it is the same for AoE and Single Target situations:
- Poison Creeper if off cooldown and enemies aren’t Immobilized;
- Grizzly Rage if it is not active and you are about to fight an elite pack;
- Earthen Bulwark if you are overwhelmed and surrounded by too many enemies;
- Trample if off cooldown;
- Landslide if you have Spirit;
- Earth Spike if out of Spirit and everything else is on cooldown.
Make sure to check out the advanced Build Mechanics section for a more in-depth description of how the build works, what synergies exist, and what to look out for.

Advanced Information
Below, you will find every additional piece of information you need to know for a more in-depth look at this build.
Build Mechanics
The Earth Bear Landslide Druid build utilizes multiple Legendary Aspects that work together to allow us to quickly and safely destroy any enemies in our way. If you can get them, Vasily’s Prayer and Insatiable Fury will increase our damage and defensiveness immensely.
The build is centered around making Landslide as strong as possible; to do this we try and get as many ranks of it as possible to increase its base damage. Talents like Primal Landslide and Earthen Might are taken to guarantee Crits, and talents like Crushing Earth are used to increase damage against Slowed, Stunned, Immobilized, and Knocked Back enemies.
By immobilizing or stunning enemies we gain Terramotes from Primal Landslide it causes our Landslide to cause a guaranteed Crit. Our Temperings and Poison Creeper allow us to immobilize enemies very frequently.
There is one more way we scale all of our Earth skills; Fortified. Due to our Legendary Aspects, Uniques, and some of our skill choices, we should almost always have the Fortified status active.
Defenses
The multilayered defenses of this build start with the damage reduction nodes we take on our skill tree and in our paragon board. From there we combine it with an almost permanent uptime on our Earthen Bulwark to constantly have an extra barrier layer of defense and a near-permanent fortify status due to constantly using our defensive skills Earthen Bulwark
Fortify
Fortify is generated through Preserving Earthen Bulwark. Once the Fortify amount is greater than or equal to yor current life, you become Fortified and gain a starting default of 15% Damage Reduction.
Paragon Information
The Paragon Board is a progression system unlocked at Level 50, giving player power through Common stat Nodes, Magic affix Nodes, Rare leveled Glyphs, and Legendary board-exclusive Nodes. For general paragon board information, check the guide here.
The recommended Paragon boards with images for the Earth Bear Landslide Caster Druid are listed above. The following section goes over some explanation and descriptions for the pathing process for the Earth Bear Landslide Caster Druid.
Broadly speaking, decisions for pathing through the Druid paragon board are divided into three categories:
- Damage – The paragon boards provide a significant amount of Damage Multipliers and Additives. This includes:
- Socketed Glyphs such as Werebear, Spirit, and Territorial
- Legendary Nodes such as Constricting Tendrils and Survival Instincts
- Magic and Rare nodes such as Impel and Prime
- Defense – The paragon boards help reach goals on Damage Reduction, Armor and Resistances. This includes:
- Damage Reduction is improved from nodes like Undaunted and Territorial
- Resistances are improved from Magic and Rare Resistance nodes Resolve
- Build Functionality – The paragon boards improve our build functionality by including the following nodes:
- The Legendary Nodes Constricting Tendrils and Survival Instincts
Tempering and Masterworking
The Season 4 update (Patch 1.4.0) introduces a rework for itemization. Tempering and Masterworking bring the biggest change to itemization since the release of Diablo 4, so make sure you understand the new systems explained in this section.
The amount of affixes on items has been changed to reflect its rarity: Normal Items have no affixes, Magic Items have 1 affix, Rare Items have 2 affixes, Legendary Items have 3 affixes, and Unique Items have 4 affixes. Upgrading a Rare Item to a Legendary Item by imprinting a Legendary Aspect from the Codex of Power will not add a third affix. Therefore, Legendary Items are superior to lower rarity items for a min-maxed character.
Greater Affixes are a newly added mechanic that increases the value of an affix by 50%. Ancestral Legendary Items and Unique Items can now drop with up to 4 Greater Affixes! Search for items with your preferred Greater Affixes to upgrade with Tempering and Masterworking.
Tempering and Masterworking is an important system, even mandatory in the endgame, for character progression. You are able to add 2 additional affixes on any Rare Item or Legendary Item, exclusive to the Tempering System. An Ancestral Legendary Item can have up to 5 total affixes! Unfortunately, Unique Items cannot be tempered to add affixes.
Masterworking uses new crafting materials found in The Pit to further enhance the stats of an item. These upgrades can be applied on an Ancestral Legendary Item that has its Tempering Slots filled out. Unique Items can be upgraded with Masterworking right away, as tempering does not apply to them. Each item has 12 upgrade slots. On upgrade Ranks 4, 8, and 12, a random affix is increased in value by 25%. Every other upgrade Rank applies a 5% increase to all affixes on an item. Attempt to apply the bonus 25% upgrade to your preferred affix multiple times by resetting the Masterworking Ranks to repeat the process.
