With Season 14 just around the corner, it’s time to take a look at the best strategies on how to level up your character quickly and efficiently. If you still haven’t decided what class to play, make sure to check our Leveling Tier List.
The addition of War Plans has changed the way players interact with content by introducing customizations as well as extra rewards for each different activity. Utilizing these bonuses to our advantage can tremendously help with leveling.
Helltides and Hellwyrms
One of the best sources of experience in the game is Helltides, so we will be aiming to spend a big portion of our time leveling there. We want to make sure we select as many Helltide activities as possible in our War Plans to get a huge chunk of XP early, as well as level up the Helltide tree to unlock the Hellmouth and Writhe and Rot nodes.
Once we have achieved this, our goal is to spawn and kill as many Hellwyrms as possible. Hellwyrms start spawning at Threat Level 2 during a Helltide and will drop XP globes when killed. These XP globes provide a massive chunk of experience and make leveling so much faster.
Kurast Undercity
Kurast Undercity unlocks at level 25 and is a great alternative to Helltide farming. Once you have enough activity XP, you can unlock the Jade Epiphany node, which grants experience orbs as you gain Attunement levels throughout the Undercity, for bonus XP.
The plan here is simple: fly through the Undercity, destroying everything in your way, and kill the boss.
War Plans Bonus XP Rewards
Lastly, we can take advantage of War Plans and select activities that offer bonus experience orbs as a reward. This can synergize well with the aforementioned strategies of running Helltides and Undercity by doubling down on the XP bonuses.
Nightmare Dungeons and the Pit are also good choices to select if no Helltides or Undercity is available. Infernal Hordes, however, should be avoided as they take much longer to complete compared to other activities.
By combining Helltides, Undercity, and War Plans, we can quickly level up in an efficient manner and get ready for the endgame.
