In Version 3.4, Honkai: Star Rail adds 8 new 4-Star Light Cones to its Nameless Honor premium battle pass, but are they actually worth your money? Let’s uncover what the new Light Cones effects are, and determine which characters can use them best!
What are the New Light Cones?

After Version 3.4, Trailblazers can select the following new Light Cones from the Nameless Honor‘s Treasure of the Starry Seas:
- [Preservation] Journey, Forever Peaceful
- [Abundance] Unto Tomorrow’s Morrow
- [Destruction] A Trail of Bygone Blood
- [Remembrance] The Flower Remembers
- [The Hunt] See You at the End
- [Nihility] Holiday Thermae Escapade
- [Harmony] In Pursuit of the Wind
- [Erudition] A Dream Scented in Wheat
For the full list of available Light Cones from the Nameless Honor battle pass, see the relevant section in our guide on IcyVeins. This is a long article, so be sure to use the navigational links provided above!
In order to use the Light Cone’s Ability, the character’s Path must follow the Light Cone’s Path as well. So let’s check out each Light Cone’s Abilities below, and see whether they’re worth getting over the other battle pass Light Cones!
[Preservation] Journey, Forever Peaceful

At Superimposition Lv. 1, the Light Cone Journey, Forever Peaceful increases the wearer‘s provided Shield Effect by 12%. When an ally target has a Shield, the DMG dealt increases by 12%.
This is a solid Light Cone for Preservation, as it increases anyone’s DMG dealt whenever they have a shield. Most Preservation characters can also provide shields, so the extra Shield Effect helps. It’s also generally better than the other premium Light Cone, This Is Me!, which depends on the wearer to have an Ultimate that deals DMG (poor Gepard).
So here’s a pretty big problem in Honkai: Star Rail: there aren’t that many Preservation characters to choose from. Thankfully, each of them are useful in their own way, so this Light Cone is recommended for any of the characters mentioned below:
- Aventurine
- Gepard (if he uses his Ultimate)
- March 7th (Preservation)
- Trailblazer (Preservation)
It’s particularly difficult for Fu Xuan to use this Light Cone, as she cannot provide shields herself.
[Abundance] Unto Tomorrow’s Morrow

At Superimposition Lv. 1, the Light Cone Unto Tomorrow’s Morrow increases the wearer‘s Outgoing Healing by 12%. When an ally target‘s current HP percentage is greater than or equal to 50%, increases the DMG dealt by 12%.
Using this Light Cone really depends on your playstyle and which characters are paired with your Abundance character. For example, you shouldn’t use this Light Cone in a team favouring characters with below 50% HP (ie. Blade‘s Ultimate or Jingliu‘s Talent).
This Light Cone also has more function than its counterpart, Warmth Shortens Cold Nights, as Unto Tomorrow’s Morrow gives additional DMG to everyone applicable and increases Outgoing Healing. Warmth Shortens Cold Nights has a Basic ATK and Skill limitation, and can easily make a character overheal, so it’s not really a great premium option.
Unto Tomorrow’s Morrow is very compatible with characters who can auto-heal when below 50% HP, such as:
[Destruction] A Trail of Bygone Blood

At Superimposition Lv. 1, the Light Cone A Trail of Bygone Blood increases the wearer‘s CRIT Rate by 12%. The Skill DMG and Ultimate DMG dealt by the wearer increase by 24%.
Notably, a lot of Destruction characters use CRIT-based best-in-slot builds, so this Light Cone is a good alternative if you don’t have access to any premium 5-Star Light Cones. It’s also more effective than the alternative, Nowhere to Run, as the DMG multipliers don’t have many stat oversaturation risks like ATK.
If your character’s CRIT Rate is already above 80% though, additional superimpositions may not be useful. A Trail of Bygone Blood at Superimposition 5 will likely increase CRIT Rate by 24% total, so avoid getting excess CRIT Rate if you plan to superimpose this Light Cone.
A lot of Destruction characters who use Skills or Ultimates a lot may like A Trail of Bygone Blood, such as:
[Remembrance] The Flower Remembers

At Superimposition Lv. 1, the Light Cone The Flower Remembers increases the wearer‘s CRIT DMG by 24%. The CRIT DMG dealt by the wearer’s memosprite increases by 24%.
Firstly, if you need help with building any stats, this is an amazing Light Cone for Remembrance characters. Most, if not all of them (and their memosprites!), benefit from the additional CRIT DMG. For example, Hyacine‘s memosprite Little Ica can get 100% CRIT Rate with the right build, so this Light Cone will be more useful than using Sweat Now, Cry Less.
There aren’t that many Remembrance characters currently available in Honkai: Star Rail, but this Light Cone has good future-proofing for:
- Trailblazer (Remembrance)
- Hyacine (whenever Little Ica attacks)
- Aglaea
- Castorice
- and likely any upcoming Remembrance characters
[The Hunt] See You at the End

At Superimposition Lv. 1, the Light Cone See You at the End increases the wearer‘s CRIT DMG by 24%. The Skill DMG and Follow-up ATK DMG dealt by the wearer increase by 24%.
This Light Cone has both its good and bad points for characters following the path of The Hunt. The good points are that practically all The Hunt characters like more CRIT DMG, and this Light Cone will deal more damage overall than Return to Darkness.
However, not every character following The Hunt deals Follow-up ATK DMG. So realistically, you can use this Light Cone for characters like:
- Dr. Ratio
- Topaz & Numby
- Moze
- Feixiao
- and any The Hunt characters with Follow-up ATK DMG in their kit
[Nihility] Holiday Thermae Escapade

At Superimposition Lv. 1, the Light Cone Holiday Thermae Escapade increases the wearer‘s DMG dealt by 16%. After the wearer attacks, there is a 100% base chance that the attacked target is inflicted with Vulnerability, increasing the DMG they receive by 10% for 2 turns. The same effect type can’t be stacked.
Nihility characters tend to value having as many debuffs on enemies as possible, and this Light Cone is more accessible than We Will Meet Again, which deals random DMG on any attacked enemy(s). At least with Holiday Thermae Escapade, the Vulnerability debuff helps everyone deal more DMG, not just the character alone.
As a result, some examples of characters who can use this Light Cone include:
- Any Nihility character
- No, really.
- Any extra DMG is good DMG
[Harmony] In Pursuit of the Wind

At Superimposition Lv. 1, the Light Cone In Pursuit of the Wind increases all allies‘ Break DMG dealt by 16% after entering battle. Abilities of the same type cannot stack.
Thankfully in Version 3.4, we have a variety of Harmony characters who benefit Break DMG-focused teams. So this Light Cone will be pretty strong when used with Super Break team compositions. However, not every team can fully use the Break DMG buff, and may appreciate the ATK or CRIT DMG buffs from Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds instead.
So which premium Light Cone to use just depends on what characters you enjoy playing with. For example, some characters who will benefit from In Pursuit of the Wind include:
- Ruan Mei
- Trailblazer (Harmony)
- Any Harmony character you use in a Super Break team
[Erudition] A Dream Scented in Wheat

At Superimposition Lv. 1, the Light Cone A Dream Scented in Wheat increases the wearer‘s CRIT Rate by 12%. The DMG dealt by the wearer’s Ultimate and Follow-up ATK increases by 24%.
Last but not least, we have a Light Cone for Erudition characters! Thankfully, most Erudition characters want everything A Dream Scented in Wheat has to offer. But is it better than one of the best premium 4-Star Light Cones yet, Today is Another Peaceful Day?
Honestly, it’s tough to say. Today is Another Peaceful Day can increase all DMG dealt from a character if they have high enough Max Energy. This can be a DMG bonus of anywhere from 32-64%, depending on superimpositions. It’s been a great premium Light Cone to select, out of all the ones available since Version 1.0‘s Nameless Honor.
With A Dream Scented in Wheat, there is no Max Energy requirement. However, the most you’ll get from Superimposition Lv. 5 is only 48% DMG increase for Ultimates and Follow-up ATKs. As this Light Cone doesn’t affect Skill DMG beyond the extra CRIT Rate, and some Erudition characters don’t have Follow-up ATKs. So it’s hard to recommend one over the other.
If you plan to use A Dream Scented in Wheat, you can consider characters with Follow-up ATKs, such as:
