What Is the Paths of Destruction in Honkai: Star Rail?

Combat Role and Gameplay

Destruction characters are designed to operate efficiently across various combat scenarios. Most of them have skills that hit multiple enemies or come with built-in sustain mechanisms like healing or damage reduction. They can hold on in long battles, often taking hits while dishing out consistent damage.

Unlike Burst DPS units from other Paths like The Hunt, Destruction characters tend to have higher base HP or DEF stats. This allows them to function without needing as much protection from Preservation or Abundance supports, freeing up those roles for more utility or buffs.

Many Destruction characters also have unique mechanics where they eat their own HP or their allies' HP in order to deal even more damage. However, it often also comes with another mechanic that allows them to heal themselves on their own as well.

Destruction characters can fit multiple team compositions, especially in early-to-mid game when your roster is limited. They often scale well into endgame content due to their versatility and ability to self-sustain.
