Erudition Path and Erudition Characters in Honkai: Star Rail

The Path of Erudition represents characters who specialize in dealing high amounts of AoE (area-of-effect) damage. These characters are perfect for taking down multiple enemies at once and are often key picks for battles with many waves of multiple enemies.

Erudition characters shine in multi-target combat. Their skills and Ultimates typically hit all enemies or a group of enemies at once, making them the best choice when you're up against groups of enemies that need to be cleared quickly. Many of them also have follow-up attacks or mechanics that scale well in battles with 3 or more enemies.

Unlike single-target specialists from The Hunt Path, Erudition units usually have lower single-target damage but make up for it with wide-reaching attacks. Their main role is wave-clearing and efficient turn usage by hitting as many foes as possible with every action.

They are especially effective in Simulated Universe, Forgotten Hall, and other content where multiple waves or groups of enemies appear. Pairing them with support characters who can restore energy or increase AoE damage can make them even more effective.

In early and mid-game, Erudition characters can carry teams through most story and exploration content. In late game, their value often comes from synergy with units that increase their damage output or help them take more turns.
