Today has been an amazing day for gaming as a whole. There are dozens of fresh announcements about upcoming big studio titles and indie games. Shortly after the Xbox Showcase wrapped up, news dropped about Gears of War: E-Day or Halo Campaign Evolved, Persona 4 & 6, Metro 2039, DOOM: The Dark Ages Revelations, and the return of Crazy Taxi.
The PC Gaming Show afterward showcased a ton of amazing, breathtaking indie games. But one announcement fans knew about ahead of time was that Valheim 1.0 would finally be shown off.

That’s right, fans finally got their first big look into Valheim 1.0. No teaser, no breadcrumbs. A good long look into the Deep North and its release date!
Valheim 1.0, the Deep North and all of its mysteries will finally be released on September 9th after 5 whole years of development! It’s all led up to this moment. With every new biome comes new creatures, mysteries, and, of course, a new boss to conquer.
The trailer beautifully led us through the journey players have embarked on over the years, and we caught a glimpse of some of the new monsters, equipment, and magics players will discover in the ice.
Of course, one major question is still up in the air. Will Valheim continue development past 1.0, or does this mark the journey’s end for our Vikings?
