The fourth week of Mythic+ in this season is over, and Nightstalker314 is taking a look at the weekly data provided by Raider.IO. After a dungeon event week, activity usually decreases a lot more than in other weeks. But we saw only an 8.99% drop. A major shift towards high-level keys also compensated for the lack of low-level keys. Small nerfs to Maisara Caverns improved the instance’s performance a bit. So, let’s look at the details.
Weekly Total Run Performance Compared To Other Seasons
A global drop-off of 8.99% once again has a regional difference. Just 5.56% on the Chinese servers and 11.08% in the other regions. Compared to previous seasons, those four regions are still ahead in terms of absolute numbers. The relative decrease since launch is still slightly larger in week 4. It might remain that way for a long time due to the big drop in week 2.

Chinese metrics compared to the global numbers are slowly creeping up towards the established share of 45%. Since week 1, it has increased from 34.79% to 37.37% in week 2, 37.91% in week 3, and now 39.34% in week 4.
Total Runs Across All Dungeons
The split across all dungeons has only widened slightly. Windrunner Spire has gained a bit in popularity. And Nexus-Point has been shuffled down from rank 2 to 4. Maisara Caverns has benefited from the trash nerfs. On regular routes, these mob types would make up around 40% of all trash before the first boss. And all pain-points on the heatmap for this area include them. But this dungeon also suffers from being quite lengthy, with packs spread out across linear sections. And if there is one spot that really boosts the death count, it is the Frogger section before the last boss.

Overall, the in-time percentage grew by 0.47 points to 89.71%. Pit (91.55%) was the easiest this week, followed by Seat (91.18%). Skyreach (90.93%), as the third returning dungeon, was also doing quite well. Terrace (90.11%) and Spire (90.05%) remained ahead of Nexus-Point (89.44%). Academy (87.58%) could not quite keep up and saw the largest percentage drop due to the Tyrannical affix in low keys. Bosses 2, 3, and 4 are quite rough when they take a lot longer. Maisara Caverns (86.13%) is dead last again, but improved the most (+1.46). The trash nerfs help a bit, but there is room for more.
Split Across All Key Levels
81.07% of all keys were completed at key level 10 and higher. 35.68% on key level 10 alone. Above this, the shift towards +12 became more distinct with an increase from 11.38% to 13.85% compared to last week. This pattern is once again more pronounced on the Chinese servers. Here, 88.72% of all runs were done at +10 and above. 15.38% at key level 12, and the amount of +11 runs (11.25%) was almost higher than all runs below +10 combined. While low-level metrics below 10 all decreased by 22.5% to 46.7%, any level above 11 saw increases between 11% and 393%. In week 4 alone, we saw 34% more completed +14s than in all of TWW S1.

The increase in the success rate overall wasn’t that high. Outliers could be found between levels 7 and 12. It is quite unusual that levels 7 to 9 improve during a Tyrannical week. Either the boss tuning isn’t that rough this season, or the constant gear improvements help out in this key range. The drop-off from level 6 to 7 also decreased to just 6.32 points. 94% in-time percentage for key level 10 is a value we’d usually see in the second half of a good season. And except for +21, all levels were above 80%.
Conclusion and Week 5 Forecast
The season continues to be the easiest of all time. Maybe we get to see another slight nerf to Maisara Caverns within the next few weeks. Then we’d have a season with a well-aligned dungeon roster after a long time. The implementation of rewards for 3,400 rating and the top 1% should show an impact within the next few weeks. For now, both breakpoints are close to each other. But the top 1% reward fits almost perfectly into the range between 3,000 rating and the top 0.1% of former seasons.
As of this writing, 120 hours after the US reset, hourly numbers for the three major regions are behind the previous week. -16.4% for the US, -15.4% for the EU, and just -11.7% for CN. Values like these are quite common for regular weeks within the first half of a season. We’ll look at the details in next week’s breakdown.
