Maisara Caverns Dungeon Guide: Location, Boss Strategies, and Trash

This guide will focus on an extensive overview of the dungeon, providing vital information to complete it across all difficulties (Normal, Heroic, and Mythic). We will cover all 3 boss fights supported by the most notable trash enemies in the dungeon and their important abilities. • Be mindful of the amount of Bramblemaw Bear your group is pulling due to their stacking Crunch Armor debuff onto your tank.
• Interrupt Keen Headhunter's Hooked Snare. Be ready to use defensive if multiple Throw Spear are targeting you.
• Avoid the Rain of Toads ground puddles coming from Dread Souleater and use defensive abilities when they cast Necrotic Wave.
• Interrupt Ritual Hexxer's Hex. Any spare kicks should be used for Shadow Bolt.
• Sidestep the Hexbound Eagle's Shredding Talons.
• Use your defensives before Hulking Juggernaut finishes its Deafening Roar cast, it will also "spell lock" you if you are mid-cast so be mindful!

Make sure you defeat them simultaneously to prevent Nekraxx from casting Bestial Wrath upon defeating Muro'jin and likewise for Muro'jin with its Revive Pet cast.

• Use your defensive during Infected Pinions Disease debuff, especially if you get targeted by the Barrage.
• Dodge the Fetid Quillstorm.
• If you get targeted by Carrion Swoop, make sure to enter a Freezing Trap to avoid any damage. Be mindful that anyone else caught in the Nekraxx path will get a ton of damage, which could be lethal.

• Use your active mitigation during Flanking Spear cast.
• Always try to stack both bosses together to allow your party to have better cleave potential.

• Use your major healing cooldowns during Infected Pinions cast.

• Make sure to stop the Reanimated Warrior from Reanimation by using any crowd-control effect (they cast it once their health reaches 0).
• Be mindful if you break multiple Grim Skirmisher's Grim Ward as they deal group-wide damage. Alternative strategy is to Purge a few early on so they don't explode simultaneously.
• Out-range the Restless Gnarldin's Ancestral Crush.
• Interrupt Tormented Shade's Spirit Rend.
• Break the shield coming from Rokh'zal's Ritual Sacrifice to free up your ally. Alternatively, you can use any movement-speed immunity effects like Blessing of Freedom & Tiger's Lust to cancel the effect.
• Avoid being hit by the Bound Defender's Soulstorms and attack it from behind to bypass its Vigilant Defense spell-immunity shield.
• Interrupt Hollow Soulrender's Shadowfrost Blast and try to not cleave any party member if you get targeted by Frost Nova cast.

• Dodge the Unmake frontal.
• When Vordaza spawns Unstable Phantom and uses Final Pursuit, the best way to remove the ghosts is by forcing them to collide with each other. Do keep in mind that upon colliding, each phantom triggers a stack of Lingering Dread and leaves Veiled Presence pools on the ground, so it is extremely important to never have more than 2 stacks to help your healer with it. Additionally, don't bother attacking them, they take 99% reduced damage due to Veiled Presence aura.
• Save your major cooldowns for Necrotic Convergence phase as the boss will inherit a large shield - Deathshroud, the longer the shield stays unbroken the more damage your party takes as the effect ramps up. On top of this, you need to be dodging Coalesced Death orbs!

• Use your major tank defensive during each Drain Soul.

• This is one of the more difficult encounters for Healers due to constant Rot damage. The only time you really want to save your cooldowns is when the Lingering Dread debuff is out, or once the boss goes into its Necrotic Convergence phase.

• Interrupt Gloomwing Bat's Piercing Screech.

• During the Crush Souls cast, the boss will target 3 players, make sure to group closer to allow for a better Soulbind Totem cleave.
• Sidestep the Volatile Essence ground puddles and use defensives during Deathgorged Vessel.
• During the Soulrending Roar phase, make sure to use your interrupt/CC on Malignant Soul to gain the stackable Spectral Residue buff, which will make the boss fight faster.

• Use your major defensive during Spiritbreaker, be mindful of where it leaps on you due to Spectral Decay ground ichor.
• Make sure the boss is positioned closer to the Soulbind Totem to allow better cleave.

• Use your major healing cooldowns during Deathgorged Vessel cast.
• Make sure to keep your party healthy during the Soulrending Roar cast, as you will likely get several stacks of Spectral Residue.
