The ninth week of Mythic+ in this season is over, and Nightstalker314 is taking a look at the weekly data provided by Raider.IO. When the cap on crests was lifted in the previous seasons, it resulted in a large spike in run numbers. But in this season, it didn’t really happen. The overall drop-off of 8.37% was smaller than in regular weeks. Farming a few missing crests kept the decline above the usual 10-15% range. Meanwhile, the next peak within the higher key levels has finally started to take shape. So let’s look at the details.
Weekly Total Run Performance Compared to Other Seasons
The global decline of 8.37% was once again split into two different metrics. On the EU servers, run numbers dropped by 15.29%, while the value was 4.49% to 5.18% in the other regions. EU players usually play with high efficiency. Here, depletion rates tend to be lower overall, far fewer runs go deep into overtime, and players generally make use of every available source of upgrades.

Compared to previous seasons, the four regular regions are still ahead in terms of total run numbers. The relative decline from week 1 also kept up with the trend of previous seasons. Within the next few weeks, the comparison might look a lot different since TWW S2 got its Turbo-Boost and crest unlock later, and TWW S3 fell behind during the Legion Remix hype. TWW S1, on the other hand, also saw higher run numbers because the crest outcome was a lot less rewarding before 11.1.
Total Runs Across All Dungeons
The overall split widened a bit compared to week 8, while the order of dungeons did not change at all. The overall success rate climbed by 0.59 percentage points to 93.11%. The affix change from Ascendant to Pulsar was one factor. The other contributor should be the final 2-3 ilvl gains for high-end players, allowing them to clear +16s easier and push a bit further at the top.

The upper half remained almost within a single percentage point. Pit (94.58%) and Skyreach (94.09%) were once again ahead of Seat (93.61%) and Terrace (93.34%). Maybe their layout or certain pulls place the last two much lower in favorability. Spire (92.88%) overtook Academy (92.74%). And Nexus-Point (92.25%) was still quite ahead of Maisara Caverns (90.73%). With these values reaching ridiculous levels, we will compare high-key performance per dungeon for all weeks in a future breakdown to get a clearer picture.
Split Across All Key Levels
90.20% of all keys were finished at key level 10 or higher. With 29.26%, +10s were still slightly ahead of +12s (23.45%), but that gap is shrinking each week. 58.10% of all runs happened outside of the weekly affix rotation. And the biggest change this week happened around the 3,400 rating cut-off. Worldwide, key level 16 saw more runs than level 15 and almost caught up to level 14. The gearing process is largely over, and players are focusing on cosmetic goals. On the Chinese servers, this pattern was much more pronounced already. Key level 16 (73,013) saw more runs than 15 (58,192), 14 (63,757), 13 (67,341), and 11 (70,126). This is the main contributor to this pattern. Keep in mind that Chinese players missed out on at least two KSM mounts during Dragonflight.

The overall in-time percentage benefited from a point gain of up to 3.28 in the low-key range. Key levels 14 to 16 also gained 1.14 to 1.71 percentage points. With 97.76% (+0.64 points), there is almost no room for improvement anymore at key level 10. Worldwide, we saw more depleted +16s than +10s this week.
Conclusion and Week 10 Forecast
Usually, this season would be in its endgame with all upgrades available. But with 12.0.7, another small power boost from the mythic raid boss loot arrives. 9 extra item levels on 4 slots will make quite a difference. And the new borrowed power upgrade, unlike during TWW, will last throughout the entire expansion. These upgrades might feel less like stop-and-go since their full benefits are not unlocked in a single week.
As of this writing, 120 hours after the US reset, hourly numbers for the major regions are continuing the mid-season downward trend. The US and China are down around 15%, while the EU is down at 17%. The dungeon event week this time could be less of an incentive to start new characters. Most players have already joined this really easy season with their alts over the first few weeks.
