Are Zenless Zone Zero 3.1 Next Banners For You?

Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) Version 3.1’s second half is almost here, and this banner cycle is bringing four Agents with very different levels of pull value. That’s a lot of Agents for the second half of a patch cycle, but its all thanks to the anniversary celebration bringing back the well-received Rescreening Banner a second time.

That makes this a particularly interesting set of banners in terms of pull value. You have a powerful new DPS, two extremely valuable Supports, and an Attacker who has unfortunately been overshadowed by a growing number of stronger options. Here’s who is worth spending your hard-earned Polychrome on when the second half of Version 3.1 begins.

Sigrid is Umazing, But She Demands Your Attention

Sigrid is the obvious headliner of these banners, and for good reason. She’s an Ice Attacker and a Season 3 Agent, which means she’s coming into the game with the DPS numbers and mechanics you’d expect. If you’re looking for a powerful Attacker who can keep up with the current state of ZZZ, Sigrid is a very safe pull.

There is one pretty important catch, though. Sigrid is not exactly an easy Agent to play. Her kit is very combo-heavy, and getting the most out of her means heavily utilizing Manual Chain Attacks and the various mechanic tied to the Stun Window. In particular, Sigrid really wants to use Manual Chain Attacks to extend the duration of a Stun, allowing her to squeeze considerably more damage out of her kit, per Stun. If that sounds harrowing to you, then you might want to reconsider picking her up.

Sigrid is one of the most Manual Chain Attack-hungry Agents currently available, and if you enjoy taking control of your Chain Attacks while also optimizing your inputs, that’s great news. If you prefer letting the game handle your Chains automatically, however, you’re going to leave a lot of Sigrid’s damage on the table. She’s an excellent DPS, but she’s not necessarily the right DPS for everyone. Effort is required if you want to make Sigrid’s performance top-tier.

Dialyn Remains One of ZZZ’s Safest Pulls

Dialyn remains one of the best Stunners in ZZZ, currently sitting alongside Norma at the top of the role. She’s a Physical Stunner whose biggest selling point is her ability to enable more frequent Team Ultimates, which is an incredibly powerful tool for a wide variety of teams.

Her inclusion on the Rescreening Banner makes her an even safer recommendation. Because the first 5-Star you obtain from the banner is guaranteed to be one of the featured Rescreening Agents, there’s no 50/50 to worry about. If you don’t already own Dialyn, there is very little risk in adding her to your roster.

The one major exception is Norma. The two Stunners are broadly interchangeable for many teams, although there are still compositions where one is preferable to the other. If you already have Norma, Dialyn is an easier skip. Everyone else, particularly players without either of the two, should seriously consider pulling Dialyn.

Yuzuha is Still Anomaly’s Best Friend

Yuzuha is arguably one of the highest-value pulls in the entire second half. She’s a Physical Support designed primarily around Anomaly teams, providing powerful buffs while also increasing Anomaly buildup. Both are incredibly valuable for Anomaly characters, making Yuzuha one of the most universally useful Supports for the role.

This is especially important now that Remielle exists. Remielle may be the stronger Support overall, but Yuzuha has one major advantage: versatility. Yuzuha can support essentially any Anomaly combination, while Remielle’s ideal teams are much more restrictive. More importantly, Yuzuha can accelerate Anomaly buildup, something Remielle simply doesn’t do.

That makes Yuzuha an unusually future-proof investment. Anomaly characters need to reach their Anomaly thresholds as quickly as possible, and anything that makes that process faster remains valuable even as stronger Supports are introduced. Remielle is still an incredible Agent, but her performance depends heavily on her teammates building Anomaly quickly enough for her to capitalize on them. If you don’t own Yuzuha and want to play Anomaly teams, she’s one of the easiest pulls to recommend in Version 3.1.

Harumasa is Sadly Lost in the Electric Crowd

Harumasa is the final Agent featured on the Rescreening Banner, and unfortunately, he’s also the hardest one to recommend. He’s an Electric Attacker who can still put out respectable damage, but that’s not exactly an easy sell when ZZZ already has so many strong Electric DPS options.

Harumasa’s unique playstyle can absolutely make him worth picking up for players who enjoy his mechanics or simply like the character. There’s nothing fundamentally wrong with him, and he’s certainly capable of clearing content. The problem is that he’s competing against a ridiculous number of Electric Attackers that can simply offer more.

That puts Harumasa in a bit of an awkward position. He’s a perfectly usable Attacker, but he’s a low-value pull compared to the other Agents on these banners. If you already have a strong Electric DPS, there’s little reason to spend your Polychrome on him. If you love Harumasa, though, that’s a different story. Pull for the character you enjoy, especially when the alternative is saving your resources for a future Agent you may want even more.
