Lucia arrived unannounced, but you’ll want to pay close attention to her if you want to maximize Rupture team damage. She is Zenless’s first limited support, focused on Sheer damage, so she is definitely a character you should look out for.
Right now, Pan Yinhu is the only character whose main role is buffing Rupture damage. He is the go-to for Yi Xuan, and being an A-Rank unit, he’s relatively easy to obtain. However, if you’re looking to take your team to the next level, Lucia is a powerful option.
As soon as her drip marketing hit social media, her kit started leaking on multiple platform. So here is everything we know about her so far.
A Completely New Mechanic! What is Ether Veil?
Her Core Passive revolves around a mechanic called “Dream Value.” It will allow her to enter a Dream state when it reaches 100. She can gain “Dream Value” through various means in her kit.
When she enters her Dream state, she activates a new mechanic called “Ether Veil: Health”. It functions like a Domain Expansion. It increases all Agents’ Max HP by 5%. When Lucia uses her EX Special during Ether Veil, its duration is extended by 12 seconds.
If Lucia is on the field, she can consume Dream Value to enhance various attacks in her base kit. But if she is off-field, she performs Aftershock attacks when spending Dream Value. And whenever Lucia upgrades a skill or performs Aftershock, all squad members gain the Fierce Attack Status. All allied units in this status deal 20% more damage for 8 seconds.
Her EX Special Attack is the core of her value as a Rupture Support. With enough energy, it becomes Grand Echo Strike, dealing Ether damage and applying the Force Through status to the whole squad. In this state, all allies’ Sheer Force is increased by 300, up to 900 depending on Lucia’s Max HP.
Her Ultimate deals Ether damage, and creates a Health Area on the field, which will heal the deployed character based on Lucia’s HP. If used during the Dream state, it extends the Ether Veil by 24 seconds. It also gives Lucia 100 Dream Value, which is enough to enter her Dream state.
Lucia also brings a buff through her Additional Ability. It is triggered when there is a Rupture or Stun character in the squad. When Lucia applies the Force through status, it additionally increases Crit damage by 30%.
Is She Too Strong?
In short, she’s an Ether Support specializing in Rupture DPS. She gives 900 Sheer, boosts Crit damage by 30%, deploys Ether Veil (boosting Max HP by 5%), and deals Aftershock damage.
Her W-Engine is also a great addition to her kit. It gives 713 base ATK and increases the wielder’s HP by 30%. When Ether Veil is activated or extended on the field, the wielder grants a 12.5% All-Attribute Resistance shred while also giving 0.55 Energy per second.
She is a still a powerhouse, even after getting nerfed just hours after her stats were leaked! Initially, she gave 940 Sheer instead of 900; her Ultimate’s heal was stronger by 5.4%; Fierce Attack used to last 30 seconds, now it’s just 8. And finally, her W-Engine was supposed to give 20% All-Attribute Res ignore, but it is now 12.5%
