Calling all hardcore raiding Warriors of Light! The wait to learn more about Patch 7.5x’s upcoming Ultimate Raid has come to an end! Yesterday’s FFXIV keynote revealed that Dancing Mad (Ultimate) is arriving imminently and you’ll want to prepare sooner rather than later.

Dancing Mad (Ultimate) Releases June 2nd with Patch 7.51
Along with the release of Patch 7.51 on Tuesday, June 2nd, we’ll be getting our hands on the all-new Dancing Mad (Ultimate)! Although they’ve been a little coy with the details, we know that the raid will have a strong focus on Kefka. I suppose my pre-fan fest prediction on whether we’ll fight more than just him was wrong!
Wanting to faithfully preserve the boss’s spirit, they pulled the original designer for Kefka from Final Fantasy VI, Tetsuya Nomura, to aid in the development! He also supervised the voice recordings to ensure Kefka’s chatty lines throughout the raid stayed true to the character. At least give Kefka a chance before you mute the game first! 😅
Expected Unlock Requirements
Since the ultimate release is after the final savage raid tier for Dawntrail, I’ll hazard the guess that the current item level cap (ilvl 790) will be required for Dancing Mad (Ultimate). Similar to Futures Rewritten (Ultimate), the weekly loot restrictions have not yet been lifted, so make sure to prepare accordingly.
