Futures Rewritten (Ultimate)
Futures Rewritten (Ultimate), commonly abbreviated as FRU, was announced during the Japan Fanfest Keynote Speech by Game Director Naoki Yoshida on January 6, 2024. Yoshida states that FRU is planned to be released in Patch 7.1 of Dawntrail, but gave no indication of when that would be on the calendar.
The ultimate is named after Patch 5.4 Futures Rewritten, and will be based around Ryne and Gaia. These two characters are integral parts to the Shadowbringers expansion Eden raid storyline. Because of this, we can speculate that the ultimate will likely contain bosses or references to that raid series.
