HoYoverse has officially announced the Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) Version 3.1 “The Long Goodbye” Special Program, and this isn’t just another update livestream. Scheduled for July 17 at 19:30 (UTC+8), the broadcast will finally pull back the curtain on Version 3.1, ZZZ’s long-awaited second anniversary update.
If the teaser is anything to go by, HoYoverse isn’t holding back. The developer is already teasing the truth behind the mysterious Enchainer concept revealed at the end of 3.0, a deeper look at first-generation Void Hunter Remielle, and a reunion with “the most familiar stranger,” whatever that means. Throw in a mystery guest and the usual gameplay reveals, and Version 3.1 is already shaping up to be one of ZZZ’s biggest updates since launch.
ZZZ’s Biggest Anniversary Celebration Yet
Version 3.1 has been building hype for weeks, and for good reason. Not only is it introducing Remielle as the newest Void Hunter, but it’s also serving as ZZZ’s second anniversary update, meaning players can expect far more than just a new story chapter.
HoYoverse has already kicked off the celebration with free anniversary rewards, including Polychrome, but the Special Program should finally reveal everything else coming with the update. New events, additional rewards, gameplay additions, and a full breakdown of Version 3.1 are all expected to take center stage.
The anniversary update also brings another major bonus for players planning to pull. HoYoverse has already confirmed that Version 3.1 will reset the Monochrome top-up bonuses, giving players another chance to receive first-time purchase rewards across every tier. Remielle Won’t Be the Only Banner to Watch
While Remielle will undoubtedly steal the spotlight, she won’t be the only character players will be watching. The Special Program is expected to reveal the patch’s full banner schedule, including reruns, as well as a closer look at Sigrid, who is expected to headline the second half of Version 3.1.
Although HoYoverse hasn’t officially confirmed the rerun lineup, community speculation has largely centered around Dialyn and Yuzuha making their return during the anniversary patch. Whether that proves true remains to be seen, but the livestream should finally put those rumors to rest.
There’s another anniversary tradition players are watching closely, too. Last year’s celebration introduced special banners that removed the standard 50/50 mechanic for a select group of returning Agents, making them some of the most popular banners ZZZ has offered. Nothing has been announced for Version 3.1, but many players believe a similar anniversary banner could return this year. If that’s the case, the Special Program would be the perfect place to reveal it.
