Hellfire Blazing Scream paints the entire map fiery orange, engulfing it in fire and decimating any enemies that come into contact with it. As an easy-to-medium skill build, Hellfire Blazing Scream gives players from all walks of life something to enjoy. With high AoE and single-target damage, combined with decent survivability, this build is a joy to play.

Class Mechanic – Soul Shards

Soul Shards are the Warlock’s unique class mechanic, allowing you to bind yourself to a Soul Shard Greater Demon that will fight beside you. They come with a variety of different effects as well as on-use abilities to help you on the battlefield.

Below you’ll find the recommended Soul Shard Demon to bind for this build.

• Vanguard Shard – Grants Summon Abodian. While in Demonform, Casting Archfiend Skills additionally summons a bonus Greater Demon, providing damage boosts and bonuses to the skill used.
• Inferno Fragment – This emits fire around, dealing damage to close enemies, which helps when enemies close the gap on us, or while speedrunning content.

Legendary Aspects

Each aspect is listed with its matching gear slot. Do your best to keep each aspect in the assigned slot. Aspect placement is planned with potential Unique and Mythic Unique gear upgrades in mind for the easiest and cheapest transition. Affixes and Tempering Priority

• Affixes on gear are sorted in priority descending order.
• Bolded affixes are the most important targets for Masterworking upgrade. If multiple affixes marked – any selected is acceptable for case by case gear.

Season Mechanics

For Season 15, we’re gaining some new powers through a reputation track, and a new type of gem in Soul Splinters. These gems specifically give us massive bonuses, but come at a cost. Below, we’ve listed our recommended Soul Splinter choices for this build.

Talismans

The Lord of Hatred expansion introduces Talismans as a new character progression system. You get to equip a Seal and place Charms into its slots for a massive power boost. The recommended setup for the Demon Summoner Warlock build is listed below:

• Seal – 6 charm slot seal with Critical Strike Multiplier is the best but any damage providing one will suffice. The best set to aim for is called “Flesh of Abbadon” (5 pieces)
• Charms – Demonology or Hellfire Skill ranks and any Defensive for affixes or All Stats works great here. Make sure you get 5 of them to be of the same set as your Seal and the last charm should be the unique Anathema of the Primes for optimal Talismans.
• Mythic Charm – 4-piece “Flesh of Abbadon” set (Orange). Two-piece “Ritual of The Nameless” set (Pink).

Mercenaries

During the Vessel of Hatred campaign, you will unlock Mercenaries to assist you. While you can choose freely early on, we recommend Raheir as your main merc:

• Ground Slam
• Raheir’s Aegis
• Bastion
• Inspiration

For the reinforcement, stick with Aldkin, utilizing his Field of Languish for increased survivability, assigned to Blazing Scream.

Rotation and Build Mechanics

Hellfire Blazing Scream utilizes multiple supporting skills to fully enable our main spammable button Blazing Scream. We’re looking to get as many skulls out as possible, and as fast as possible, while still being able to avoid ground effects while pushing forward through pacts. When keeping our buffing skills active, our damage goes through the roof, and our life stays relatively even despite burning alive.

Rotation and Playstyle

1. Sigil of Chaos – Provides Volatility for our Hellfire Skills and adds a bit of its own damage.
2. Metamorphosis – This should be kept active as often as possible; however, it does cause us to burn alive, and after a while the damage will force us out. Make sure to re-enter the form once it’s off cooldown.
3. Sigil of Summons – Mimics our casts once enough things have died inside of it. Typically, this takes a second to activate, due to that you’ll mainly be using this on tough Elite packs or Bosses, and when pushing high Pit tiers.
4. Blazing Scream – Our main damage skill and spammable button.
5. Rampage – This acts as our main mobility skill, placing your mouse cursor near the edge of the screen will give the farthest leap. It also helps with our Wrath generation.
6. Command Abodian – Another slightly lesser Mobility Skill, however, it will often be used to group enemies together, generally for Elites since lesser enemies die rather quickly.

Season Updates

Warlock received some massive buffs and reworks across the board for Gear, Paragon, Skills, and Uniques. These buffs place the Warlock Class at a significantly higher power level than before, and fix some of the quirks the class previously had, although some of them still remain – this season certainly helped.
