Diablo 4 Season 10 Surprises Players With Real Build Diversity

For the first time in a long while, Diablo 4 players are talking about build diversity in Season 10. After several seasons dominated by one or two “must-play” setups, players are noticing that more classes and skills actually feel viable this time around, but not everyone agrees on what “diversity” really means.

On Reddit, some argue that true diversity has always existed, but top-tier builds overshadow everything else. Others point out that if every build can at least clear the Seasonal Journey or clear high-level Pit, is that not enough?

You can take a look at the Reddit post here:

Rogues Still Struggle

The Rogue class is getting a lot of attention. With buffs to core skills, builds like Flurry and Rapid Fire are viable again, and Death Trap remains strong. Even “meme” builds like Shadow Step are reportedly playable.

That said, many still feel Rogues are weaker overall compared to classes like Spiritborn, often requiring far more farming and gear to hit the same level of power.

Class Comparisons

The Bigger Debate – Nerf or Buff?

Beyond specific builds, there is an ongoing debate about Blizzard’s balance philosophy. Should the devs nerf S-tier builds to make it more balanced? Or should they buff weaker builds so that everything feels exciting to play?

Many players are frustrated that overpowered builds often dominate an entire season, if not multiple seasons in a row, without any adjustments. And when it gets adjusted, it is often downwards, and not any buffs to underpowered builds, and that also feels frustrating.

“Diversity” or Just Bigger Numbers?

Not everyone is convinced Season 10 is a breakthrough. Some argue it is just “fake diversity”. If everything can clear the Pits thanks to power creep, then the differences between builds blur.

Without leaderboards or competitive rewards, build debates may ultimately come down to personal preference and fun rather than strict viability.

Chaos mechanics and seasonal-only systems like Chaos Armor have created new, sometimes broken, interactions. But because they are temporary, some worry it is only a band-aid solution. The community’s hope is for more lasting class and build variety, not just inflated numbers.

For now, players seem excited, and maybe even surprised, to have multiple strong options across nearly every class. If it is true diversity or just the illusion of it, Season 10 is going to be one of Diablo 4’s more interesting and fun season!
