We thought we had it all figured out, but then Blizzard threw more changes into this week’s tuning pass! We’ve seen what the changes did to the raid rankings, but now let’s see what’s happening with the DPS in dungeons! A fast riser has fallen and we see Death Knights dominating, so here we go.
The DPS Changes
The big news is the fall of Frost Mage. It didn’t go too far, but it’s out of S-tier, and moves from 4th to 10th overall. Its fall marks the rise of Unholy, as it joins its fellow DK in the top tier, same as in the raid.
The next tier sees Feral and Havoc gaining ground, as the Demon Hunter rises a full tier up. Affliction, Shadow and Devastation all get pushed down to make room, but still manage to stay in the Best-Candidates tier.
The Top Tiers
Now let’s take a look at the full top tiers and the many DPS specs populating them. These are curated and made by our guide writer Petko.
Tier | Spec |
Best-Candidates | Subtlety Rogue |
Best-Candidates | Elemental Shaman |
Best-Candidates | Destruction Warlock |
Best-Candidates | Feral Druid |
Best-Candidates | Havoc Demon Hunter |
Best-Candidates | Frost Mage |
Best-Candidates | Affliction Warlock |
Best-Candidates | Shadow Priest |
Best-Candidates | Devastation Evoker |
And here’s Petko himself explaining it all in detail:
That’s what we have at the moment, with the week’s tuning set in stone. We haven’t heard anything about the next wave, but it’s usually announced on Friday. Blizzard try to avoid doing another round during the Race to World First, but we may see some changes anyway, so stay tuned.
