How to optimize ur fury warrior?

7 posts in this topic

Hey! I watched a random german streamer on twitch tv who had 15/16 hc. He also did some incredible dps. I saw he had a shit tons of dps macros, but as the guy was german he couldn't help me with his macro stuff. He also had an addon that showed his rage in a bigger bar in the middle of the screen, he also had a bar that showed the global cooldown counter. It looked nice, and I would like this addon myself.

However I'm more interested in the macros. I don't use any macros and I'm wondering what sort of macros could possibly increase my dps?

Hi Verook, you wouldn't by any chance remember the name of the streamer? The link to the stream? Maybe I can find some more information on his UI or macros.

Don't know a lot about your character but some simple macroing of bloodbath+Synapse Springs+dragonroar all on a 1 minute cd is nice. you can also macro a roar with charge to increase rage generation early on.

I'm not sure how Twitch works, but that stream seems to be password-protected.

I'm not sure what addon the streamer was using, but I'm pretty sure you can make such a ragebar with WeakAuras.

In terms of macro's I have found using macros for my opener has helped a ton. It is based off this rotation I got from a thread on mmo-champ (please tell me if this isn't optimal):

"1) BT

2) (Rage Berserker if BT didn't crit)/Skull banner/Bloodbath/(Trinket if the /use doesn't give Crit) + Dragon Roar

3) Recklessness/Deadly Calm/(Trinket if the /use gives Crit) + CS

4) (Rage Berserker if I haven't 2 stacks of RB) + RB

5) BT

6) RB

7) RB

If neither the first BT and the first CS crit, I just skip the first RB (step 4).

Obv, I spam as much HS as I can during the CS debuff.

Basically, DR is our spell with the greater DPE so you want to use it with all cds up except for crit ones. Then, RB is another spell with a very high DPE so you want to use it three time with all buffs"

The macro I made was for step 2 of that rotation, not including berserker rage (do that manually incase BT does crit) but to use those CD's then Dragon Roar, then made a seperate macro for 3, Reck/deadly calm/ crit trinket CS. I use those two pretty much only for an opener, and it really trivializes it.

Bartender can make your rage bar bigger, its a custom UI from Curse. you can customize every aspect of the UI with it pretty much.

Ascendency is a guild comprised of sociable, mature players who strive for teamwork, camaraderie and enjoyment of the game as we prevail over the foes of the land from current and past perils. Our goal is to conquer PVE content as a synergic team and attain various epic deeds. Be a place where members can find a home and not just be a warm body.   Guild Name: Ascendency Faction: Horde Server/timezone: Thrall-PvE, Eastern Time Raid Times: 8:30-10 pm EST/Server Time Raid Schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays Loot: Personal Member Type: Adult (21+) Working class w/full time jobs Voice Service: Ventrilo   Progression: We have been progressing through Normal raids, however we have added Heroic progression for a little more challenge. Although most members are not heroic experience, we like everyone to progression with a calm and mature atmosphere, but that won't mean that we don't get bosses down. We make sure we learn something from our progression. Please do not expect a Mystic raid from us, as we do not like to go as far to thinking hardcore. We believe it will not bring a pleasant and mature progression, so we'd like to stick with what we do.   Recruiting: We do not pressure our members to play what is needed for our raid team, however there will be certain roles that will not be recruited (Tanks mainly). However we like that our members play the class they enjoy playing, so there is no pressure or trouble to decide a role/class just for our raid team.    We accept all classes and specs as Social member. However, we are having a heal role issue and in need to recruit a 3rd dedicated healer for our raid progression. unfortunately Disc priest and Resto Druid we do not need, as we have them both, so please do not ask a room for one. We are also searching for a melee dps as well, preferably a Rogue, Feral Druid or WW Monk. Unfortunately we are full on Ret pallies and warriors.    We are currently in Heroic Hellfire Citadel Progression, 12/13, hoping to go after Archimonde for everyone to get their moose mount before the Prepatch.    Please know that we do not like anyone with an attitude towards anyone. We like for everyone to be themselves but also respect each other. In short: no drama or trouble. We like to keep our guild laid back and for everyone to enjoy the game in our guild.    We also have an age policy: ages 21+.    -What we have on our Raid Team- Warriors: We have a Tank and a fury Death Knights: We have 1, but are welcoming more Paladins: We have 2 dps and a tank. A Holy Paladin will be needed. Monks: We are welcoming monks as well, either a mistweaver (3rd) Heals or WW dps Priests: We have a Disc Healer as our 2nd dedicate healer and 2 Shadow priests, but are welcoming a holy for 3rd Shamans: We are in need of a Resto and/or Elemental! Druids: We have our resto Druid as our 1st dedicate healer, but we welcome feral or boomkin dps Rogues: We have none as our rogue switched to our 2nd Tank, so we are welcoming rogues as well Mages: We have 1 dedicated mage, and more are welcomed Warlocks: We have 1 dedicated raider, and will accept another Hunters: We have 1 dedicated raider, and will accept another Casual Raiders and Non-Raiders are all welcome to join! We accept Social people and Raiders! We understand that our members have full time jobs and have limited time as we raid for a short hour and we do not pressure non raiders to participate for raid nights. If anyone would like to raid, we make sure to open our raid schedules in the calendar for people to sign up and communicated with our Raid Leaders.
Monthly Events and other Activities: We like to do monthly events for everyone to have fun, other then raid nights, even for non raiders. Transmog Contests are very common that we do. Open ideas or anything new anyone thinks of trying for a different event will be optional.   We often like to see members group up for dungeons or group quests, timewalking, etc.   Guild Communication: The guild has a paid web site, facebook page and a twitter account enabling members to socialize and stay informed with the latest and greatest. The website is our primary location to keep up with happenings of the guild.   We often use Vent to communicate with other members. We don't like drama and trouble, so we like to keep the guild laid back and sociable for everyone to enjoy the game and have fun.   http://ascendency.guildlaunch.com/ Twitter: Ascendencyguild   Contact Any of our Officers: Esabeth#1634 Feorne#1606

      Hello to All Concerned,

I am new to posting topics on forums, but a veteran (since BC) in WoW. I took a break after early cata and came back in April. I will keep this short.

      Avg Dps (via Recount): 22-24k
      ilvl 698
Optimized enchants toward Haste. I am utilizing PVE/PVP gear for stats.

Overall, taking into concept the extra dps I could gain by using demon circ and gateway, I should not receive reports of 22k dps when I'm actually trying. I restart Recount as well as ask for others recount data and it all states the general area of 22-24k. Would someone with experienced eyes open mine.

      Thanks in advance

S.N. Ive always wanted to be the best Warlock ever, I don't do alts because I haven't mastered my main. I feel that if I can be considered one of the top wow players I can help those who are in my position now. Make sense?
    • [Balance] Stat Shifting @ 740 ilvl
      By Haumph
      Hey all,

One of the things I have been concerned about as my gear catches up to that of my guildmates (new addition to the roster) is that my stats are drastically shifting away from where I feel I want them to be. For example, I got the Mannoroth chest and Archi belt, the former of which also allowed me to change from tier gloves to a surprisingly well-statted and socketed pair of  5-man gloves (shown on my Armory)

      http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/staghelm/Haumph/simple

Swapping from my old 3 items (Soc Chest w/ Socket, Isk Belt, Tier Gloves), my stat changes are:

      + 11% mastery
      + 6.09% haste
      - 4.7% multistrike
      - 7% crit (down to 14% unbuffed)
      Intellect gain: 18

For reference, here is a parse while wearing the old gear -- I'm perfectly happy with my performance as is:

      https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/vgQ7VhNzwLjCdPy4#fight=8&type=damage-done

My concern going forward is, while sure there's a notable haste and mastery gain, the 7% crit seems absolutely huge. I myself have already experienced Shooting Stars droughts, and dropping that much crit would make those droughts more frequent.

Obviously the sims are showing that every balance druid should wear X set of gear, but I'm just curious as to the thoughts from other high parsing or high gear point druids on the forums about whether or not you feel the loss of crit in your gearing.

      Best,
      - Haumph

Looking for a fun progression guild? Hordeland Security started at launch, and has raided on Blackhand, Baelgun, and now Turalyon. We're looking to add to our raider roster and we'd like to see you!

We currently raid on Tuesdays and Thursdays 19:00- 21:15 CDT.We understand that no one has an unlimited amount of time to play. We hold ourselves accountable when utilizing the time we invest. We expect the same level of commitment in return. Our raiders know when to goof around and when it's time to be serious.

    • New 4p/t18 Ret assistance
      By Sarnen
      My armory: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/skullcrusher/F%C3%ADatlux/simple

I just got 4pc t18, and thought I'd do a sim.  I just read the guide and went with mastery all the way, but my sim is showing something totally different:

      With Final Verdict:
      Haste 5.88
      Multi 5.69
      Mast 5.68
      Vers 5.30
      Crit 5.22

      With Seraphim:
      Haste 6.77
      Multi 5.62
      Vers 5.13
      Crit 5.11
      Mast 5.05(!)

Do I need to redo everything to haste now?  Since this was kind of a casual alt that suddenly was tagging along to mythic and heroic HFC, This haste phenomenon is new to me since I never had the gear or reason to really look into it (most guides say mastery, noxxic I think was saying multi of all things).

I'm guessing all my enchants need to be redone?  Am I reading this correctly?  Should Haste go on weapon too?  Or something else since the weapon is a proc and not a steady thing (for example, your guide says crit for Holy, but spirit to weapon).

Adding to my confusion is how this affects the aoe situation in HFC.  Is mastery weighted higher in cleaves, or does haste hold its own as #1?  Meaning, will I need very different stats for Fel Lord versus that bird dude with the eye?  Since a lot of HFC seems to have at least occasional cleaving I don't know what the stat priority should be in context of averaging out the bosses.

      Help appreciated.
