Where does any Enhancement Shaman get any where near 50% Haste?

Recommended Posts

I'm an avid fan of IV and set all my chars up using the IV class guides.

the stat priority for Enh Shammies is:

"1. Agility.

 2. Haste to 50%"

I got a decently geared Enh shammy ilvl 682 but only got 20% haste vs 37% Mastery.

Of course I've enchanted for Haste but given the constraints of the gear available how on Azeroth does any Shammy hope to get any where near the recommended 50% lol?

As a footnote maybe this explains the comparitive abysmal single target dps performance of the enhancement spec?

There is an explanation in the class guide after the priorities:

"Haste being higher than the other secondary stats until 50%, does not mean that you should stack Haste to 50% before building up any other secondary stat. It merely means that until you reach 50% Haste, you should have more Haste than any other secondary stat."

Then why mention that they don't need too. All the gear (including heroic tiered for HFC) doesn't give enough Haste to get it TOO 50%, if I don't get it to 50% then I shouldn't be working on other stats, I need to go in full on Haste or I won't get my DPS on par.

Also it goes right out and contradicts itself...

"You don't need to get Haste to 50%, but you shouldn't work on any other stat until it hits 50%"

What kind of drugs are these "experts" on. The RNG and drops don't have nearly enough fraggin' haste to *MAKE IT* to 50%. If they didn't want me to reach 50%, then why mention it? And why contradict yourself?

Do I need to or do i not need to? Do I need to ditch my heroic Tiered HFC gear (which has all my main stats on it) just so I can crank up haste so high that Snoop Dogg would be jealous?

I don't get it, whats so hard to understand in the 50% haste soft cap.

Haste is your best stats. Therycrafter calculated that it remains your best stat untill it reaches rougly 50%, after that is starts losing value against the other stats like Multistrike and Mastery. No, It was not said anywhere that you will reach it.

Thats what Theorycrafters do , they calculate what stat is the best, how stats relate and influence eachother.

Is the best stats always the best stat? does it have a soft cap where after that it becomes less influent than another? They answer those questions, in some cases the soft cap can be reached (Hunters 53% crit i believe, after that Multistrike takes the lead) in some other cases like for us they just state that the softcap for haste is 50% for information purposes only.

PS: Full mythic Bis with all sockets can get very close to it

You simply treat it like you would do normally, No, you dont throw away items higher ilvl just to wear a lower ilvl piece with haste. two items have the same ilvl? pick the one with the best stats. two items and one is Higher ilvl ? Take the one with higher ilvl

(example Fel Lord Zakuun Necklace 730 Haste/Mastery < Archimonde Necklace 735 Crit/<Multi)
