wow Legion Comic Released: Magni!

4 posts in this topic

A new comic for World of Warcraft: Legion has just released! Check out this tale of a king, thought to be forever encased in stone, who now brings a grave warning.

You can always read the comic first prior to checking out our synopsis of the content below! It's written by Blizzard's own Matt Burns and illustrated by Ludo Lullabi.

Magni Bronzebeard was the King of Ironforge, as well as the leader of the Bronzebeard clan for many years. When the cataclysm occurred, Magni attempted to perform a ritual to unite himself and commune with the earth, but was instead turned to stone. His brother, Muradin, his daughter, Moira, and Falstad Wildhammer succeeded him as leaders of the dwarven people by forming the Council of Three Hammers.

Four years has since passed and that's where this comic picks up. It's evident that the leaders have tried countless times to awaken Magni, but to no avail. Moira is forced to try again, the other leaders believing that her voice might rouse Magni, but she is unconvinced. She is ready to leave her father behind once more, but the rock seems to crack as she turns. Magni awakens, but not for the reasons Moira believes.

He meets with the Council, but rather than immediately addressing the political crisis at hand, Magni wishes to go for a walk. While the three leaders discuss what Magni's return might mean, he interrupts the conversation by stating that he is not there to retake his throne. Magni is there to deliver a warning, nothing more and nothing less. It seems his communion with the earth forced him to see what was coming in the future, the hordes of demons that were to invade Azeroth.

He leaves his people behind to go and warn the rest of the Alliance leaders, but not without a heart-warming exchange with his daughter first.

So, what did you think of it? Personally, I absolutely loved the style of the production. It was a joy to read and I just wish it was longer! The music fits perfectly, the artwork is great and the pacing created by Madefire is just superb.

More, please!

Agreed! I really hope they follow a similar direction of the cinematic shorts and comics for Overwatch. I'd love to see them.

Trailer for an upcoming Emerald Nightmare guild movie by Taiwanese player Bucc looks plenty impressive.
With 7.1 just around the corner and Trial of Valor soon after, the timing of this video is pretty good as we get to look back on the first raid of Legion in a pretty short format. The "Fight for the Dream" trailer comes to us from Bucc, from the Taiwanese servers and is an intro to his guild's upcoming full Emerald Nightmare "movie", and is pretty great!
Thanks to mrazgrass  on reddit for pointing the vid out!

Patch 7.1 delivers some nice changes for alts! The first one is related to Suramar dungeons that have a reputation requirement, while the other one deals with World Quests.
In Patch 7.1, the Arcway & the Court of Stars will be accessible to all your alts if you unlock them on your main character. The reputation requirement to start the quest for both dungeons is 8,000/12,000 Honored reputation with The Nightfallen. The second change is related to World Quests.
You won't need to attain Friendly reputation with Legion factions on secondary characters to unlock World Quests. After reaching Level 110, you can go straight to Dalaran, talk to Archmage Khadgar who gives you Flight Master's Whistle. The Blood of Sargeras trader Illnea Bloodthorn now sells Order Resources Cache. It's BoA so it may be relevant to your alt.
Some other things I'd like to see implemented that would improve alt quality of life:
Account-wide reputation, or the Mists of Pandaria reputation system; you bought a tome to increase reputation gain for your alts by a % after reaching Exalted with a faction "the regular way" on your main. Shared Artifact Power or Artifact Knowledge. Are you currently playing an alt or are you still busy with your main?

Patch 7.1 is approaching and a lot of players will be lured by the siren of false riches.
For details which items are available in exchange for Blood of Sargeras look here. What will happen after Patch 7.1 goes live?
Prices of reagents will go drastically down as there will be a large spike in supply. Players will be burning their bloods. Many players are currently sitting on lots of bloods, because apart from Professions there's currently no use for them.  These very same players are willing to make quick Gold, which is where we will strike to make even more. Prices will stabilize again somewhere below their current values when people burn all their bloods. We want to make the most out of this opportunity, because we are patient little Goblins, right? Here are some steps to make you prepared for the Patch.
Nobody will be buying crappy items like Unbroken Claw or Lean Shank from the vendor as they want to maximize the value of bloods. It all comes down to players whining about how expensive all herb-based products (flasks, elixirs) are, so let's talk herbs! Hebs
Will be the most valued commodity. Let's do a little research based on current Median Prices (US)
Note the prices are prior to the Blood of Sargeras trader, so they will decline.
Fjarnskaggl's price is 44.31 Gold. Foxflower's price is 48.86 Gold. Starlight Rose price is 114.71 Gold. (Source)
      Blood Spending
So, spending a blood on the Fjarnskaggl is 443.10 Gold, Foxflower 488.60 Gold and Starlight Rose just 344.13 Gold, which bring us to a conclusion that to get the maximum value of your bloods spend them on Fjarnskaggl & Foxflower on Patch day & resell right away as prices will go down through next week and won't reach today's prices.
Buying Herbs (from AH) & Making Profit
Starlight Rose is a reagent used for many flasks and potions. It's also an item that will be overbought with bloods. On Patch day (October 25), prices are likely to be underpriced. The influx in supply will be vast and the price reduction will be crazy on Tuesday/Wednesday. Meaning players will be undercutting and selling relatively cheap. Wait until at least November 8 when Trial of Valor opens and resell all the roses when the demand gets higher and people will have spent their bloods. Closing Tips
Don't forget to set up your Sniper to constantly scan the Auction House as miss-pricing will definitely occur. A separate account just for constant Sniping can always make you tons of gold!

US realms are affected by yet another wave of gem dupe.
Do you see a Level 1 character advertising in Trade, selling dozens of cheap gems? If the answer is yes, your realm is affected.
These items are currently duped like crazy
Saber's Eye of Agility Saber's Eye of Intellect Saber's Eye of Strength What I advise you is to:
Stay away from these gems unless you need them for raiding. In this case, buying them from the Auction House makes them clean as opposed to direct trade with the duper, which is a bannable offense and such items can get removed from your inventory. Don't buy these items if they show up in your TSM Sniper. Prices were slowly recovering from the initial dupe back in September and here we go again. I feel really sorry for people who dumped lots of gold into 800/800 Jewelcrafting. The price of an uncut Saber's Eye is three times higher than its cut counterpart.
      EU Realms
After having viewed prices of highly-populated EU realms, like Aerie Peak, there aren't any spikes in supply and/or price drops. Many if not all EU realms remain unaffected.
To check prices on your server, use The Undermine Journal. My realm is listing the cheapest for 2.8K. Did you see a price drop on your realm? Report back with results!
