Best In Slot

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if there was a website that gives a clear list of best in slot items. I've tried icy veins, ask mr robot, maxdps, and even wowhead. I'm trying to determine what is the best trinket for BM hunters besides the assurance. I've had some say the Siegecrafter is better and I've heard others say Haromm's talisman is better. I currently don't have a good version of either even while being 573 ilvl, so I can't test it out for myself. If anyone knows which is better please fill me in lol.

Haromm's Talisman isn't quite as good for BM since pets can't multistrike, and with your pet dealing ~50% of your overall damage, multistrike value drops greatly.  TED however has passive mastery on it which helps further increase the damage your pet deals.  Both IV and Azor's guide at MMO-C have TED and AoC as BiS trinkets for BM.

Important BiS items you'll want as BM.

Trinkets: AoC and TED. Haromm's greatly under performs since most of BMs damage is from our pets.

Tier Pieces: You'll want helm, shoulders, gloves and legs, and the absolute best chest piece you can get is the one from garrosh.

For a weapon, a lot of BM hunters swear by the Kor'Kron Hand Cannon, but honestly if you look at the BM stat priority. The bow from Galakras seems like it would be better. I'm not 100% sure about the weapon though but as long as it's the highest ilvl you can get your hands on you'll be ok.

Hope this helps! Let me know if there's any other piece you want to know about!

No.. There's a -reason- that the Hand Cannon is better. A lot of people just don't know.

The stats are -close- for BM, this is common knowledge.

1) The Galakras bow has less secondary stats overall compared to the Hand Cannon (which is unmatched entirely)

2) In BiS gear (HCWF in this case), you're past 40%+ Haste where it kinda loses a lot of its juice - if you went with a Haste-weapon in BiS gear you'd be closing up to 20k haste - too much. The Hand Cannon balances this out. That's how it works.

3) Negligible differences.

Makes sense.
