Brace yourselves, Warriors of Light. We’re entering the final set of patches for Final Fantasy XIV’s Dawntrail. Between the wrap up to the current story lines and the plethora of new content still coming in Patches 7.5x, there is still plenty to do. However, it won’t be long before we’re embarking on our next grand adventure in Evercold!

Patch 7.5 may be the start of Dawntrail’s final chapter, but we still have a lot to look forward to! In terms of main scenario content, we have a new dungeon and a new trial. We also have the final installment to the Echoes of Vana’diel alliance raid series and a new Unreal trial. Take a look at the details below:

Savage Crunch Time and Ultimate Preparation

From the North American Fan Fest 2026 keynote, we learned that Dancing Mad (Ultimate) will be released with Patch 7.51 on June 2nd. While there weren’t specific unlock details or gear requirements, I’m willing to bet my stash of Kupo Nuts that the current item level cap will be required.
After the release of Patch 7.5, you only have four or five weekly resets left, depending on whether you count the Patch 7.51 release weekly reset. Regardless, there isn’t much time remaining if you’re looking to engage in battle with Kefka. Luckily, Patch 7.5 has some extra ways to augment your tomestone gear!

The first time every week that you clear the new alliance raid Windurst: The Third Walk, you’ll receive a Ranperre Coin. Head over to Uah’shepya in Solution Nine (X:8.7 Y:13.5), along with the coins from the previous two alliance raids, and exchange them for Thundersteeped Twine and Thundersteeped Glaze. The Hunt vendor Rybool Ja in Tuliyollal (X:13.9 Y:13.5) will also have the twine and glaze for sale for Sacks of Nuts.
Whichever way you get them, speak with Theone in Solution Nine (X:8.5 Y:13.6) and exchange for your upgraded tome gear.
Finally, getting enough weapons from clearing M12S to gear a full static starting from zero is going to take a lot of luck. Especially since the savage raid weekly loot restriction will not yet be lifted. The best I can do is wish you good luck!
Extreme Trial Mount Farming

With Patch 7.5, your collection of Extreme wings can finally be completed! Also, the drop rates for the Wings of Death and the Wings of Mist have been boosted! However, only the former has become available for exchange this patch. Speak with Uah’shepya in Solution Nine (X:8.7 Y:13.5) to see the exchange list.
| Mount Name | Duty Name | Drop Rate Boosted? | Exchangeable? |
| Wings of Ruin | Worqor Lar Dor (Extreme) | ✓ | ✓ x99 Skyruin Totem |
| Wings of Resolve | Everkeep (Extreme) | ✓ | ✓ x99 Resilient Totem |
| Wings of Eternity | The Minstrel’s Ballad: Sphene’s Burden | ✓ | ✓ x99 Totem Eternal |
| Wings of the Knighthood | Recollection (Extreme) | ✓ | ✓ x99 Knight Totem |
| Wings of Death | The Minstrel’s Ballad: Necron’s Embrace | ✓ | ✓ x99 Grave Totem |
| Wings of Mist | Hell on Rails (Extreme) | ✓ | ✗ |
| Wings of Nihility (New!) | The Unmaking (Extreme) (New!) | ✗ | ✗ |
Once you’ve collected all seven pairs of wings (you lucky little kupo), you may now accept the sidequest “The Wing Spirit Cometh“. Head to Tuliyollal (X:15.3 Y:7.5) and speak with the Tonawawtan Boy to begin.

Reorganizing your Housing, Outfit Glamours, Armoire, and Dyes
This new housing update increases the placement limits for indoor and outdoor furnishings! Check out the table below for details:
| Housing Type | Indoor Furnishings | Outdoor Furnishings |
| Apartments and Private Chambers | 100 -> 150 | N/A |
| Cottages (Small) | 200 -> 300 | 20 -> 40 |
| Houses (Medium) | 300 -> 450 | 30 -> 60 |
| Mansions (Large) | 400 -> 600 | 40 -> 80 |
I’m simultaneously thrilled and horrified at what people will be able to create with these higher limits. Thrilled because housing decor can become much more elaborate. However, keep in mind that only 400 furnishings can be displayed on-screen at once and will start culling furniture poking through from other floors first. Horrified because I’m sure someone will just add twenty Namazu Effigies to their front yard.

Next, the glamour dresser is getting some nice quality of life! They are expanding outfit glamours to include Hall of the Novice gear, certain 2.x dungeon gear, and dungeon gear from Patch 3.0 onward. Additionally, you’ll be able to Try On outfit glamours as a set and also remove individual pieces from a set.
Similarly, the armoire is also getting expanded options. You may now store class and job-specific gear, as well as dungeon gear from 7.0 onward, sorted in their own tabs in the armoire. This may take a while to organize!

In case you missed it, most dyes are being consolidated into one of three groups. Fill up your inventory with eligible dyes and head to a Calamity Salvager in either Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks (X:11.3 Y:14.3), Old Gridania (X:10.0 Y:8.4), or Ul’dah – Steps of Thal (X:12.6 Y:13.1).
The dyes in your inventory will be converted to the new consolidated dye item. If you’re terribly sentimental about Gobbiebag Brown Dye, I suggest you keep it somewhere safe! Also, old dyes can no longer be purchased, sold, or searched for on the market.
Fill Out Your Sightseeing Log
Completing your Sightseeing Log just became a whole lot easier. The system message when standing on a vista now includes the emote required to record the location!

For all those pesky A Realm Reborn vistas that require a particular weather and time window, a display message will let you know that you have not fulfilled a condition when trying to log that spot. The few Stormblood vistas that require a particular time window are also included. However, it is unclear from the preliminary patch notes if it’ll tell you what the conditions are, so check out our sightseeing guides!
Maintenance for Patch 7.5 starts really soon and you don’t have much time left. Gather those last-minute weekly Mnemonic tomestones! Collect your Mogtomes before it’s too late! Whatever you do, make sure to check back on Icy Veins for more FFXIV news!
