Some Opinions About 2P Tier vs Crit Stacking

6 posts in this topic

So, I am stacking straight crit as resto, which seems to be working well. I was horrified losing over 16% haste after reforging and gem replacement, but anyway. I'm wondering if anyone else is noticing a difference in HPS when using the T16 2P or NOT using it. Reason being, I run Ordos just for Chestguard of Pyrrhic Immolation and I'd like to replace my Tunic of Celestial Harmony for the crit specifically. I look at Recount for information but all of the numbers just confuse the hell out of me. Some of you more progressed raiders maybe could give a new guy some input?

Armory just for reference.

So have you significantly gained HPS since you moved to straight crit?

The 2pc is really awesome in my opinion, even if it's a bit dull. The healing it does came 4th on our latest Garrosh kill at around 9% of my total healing done, whereas Ancestral Awakening came in around 1.5%. So I would expect to see a huge loss in HPS if I dropped the 2pc, especially on tank-heavy fights.

Well, it's hard to judge because the other healer is an equally geared druid, and I think we all know how OP they are, but in solo situations, I've noticed a gain. I have to heal a bit more proactively to make up for the cast time but I'm getting 400-500k healing waves instead of barely 200k, chain heals collectively are hitting for about the same. Seems like an increase, but that's my concern, is my ES absorb doing a lot. I've been reading more about it in whatever I can find on Google and I think you're right, it'd be a loss in the end. The mana back from crit is insane, I only dip low on H Protectors, otherwise I'm generally over 40% even in a pinch. But We've only gotten to Galakras so far, very casual guild, so I haven't experienced H IJ or Dark Shamans yet. And, I'm only 568 so there could be a significant difference once I shed some of my normal/warforged pieces.

You're actually higher than I am, and at roughly the same progression as my guild would be if we hadn't had a few important main switches. Anyway, I don't think that 1k Crit should have a difference of over 100% to your direct heals. Do you have logs to back that up?

I'm interested to see where this goes, as I'm looking to go from Haste (Normal) gear to Crit (Heroic) gear as we progress.

I personally don't keep logs, or however it works... I think someone in the raid does but I've never looked into it. Although, the past few weeks I've been sitting for a lot of the bosses for others to come in, but I could start taking note in the next coming raids to have some kind of idea of the difference between the two.

I did a bit of digging and these appear to be logs from your guild. There aren't any particularly recent ones so I won't analyse them (most recent is 12th December). Ask your guild leader if they upload them still!

I've been having issues where my dps is lower than it should be since I'm at a 874 ilvl.
I've changed mastery haste ratio and its still lower than it should be. If someone can look at my logs and help me out id be extremely grateful.

Any role We are interested in more classes, but these are our missing spots at the moment.
Order of the Silverflame has been about since vanilla although we had a bit of a break in Burning Crusade. We’re a 30-man raiding guild and we plan to remain that way.
We are a friendly group who enjoy World of Warcraft and enjoy raiding. We have fun and joke around but when bosses need to go down then all is serious! We expect members of the guild to enjoy the game as much as we do and to take part in raids and maintain a 70-85% attendance per month.
There are a few things, we highly value above everything else: friendliness and politeness towards guildies and other players and skillfulness when it comes to the more serious parts of the game.
      Currently –
We raid 3 nights a week, Wednesdays, Sundays and Mondays, from 20:00 till 23:00 server time.
We also run optional runs on Fridays when needed. (usually on heroic mode)
Saturday is left for older content runs for fun and drinking!
Although we are a 30-man guild, we usually run an extra group, to get the most people raiding, help newer raiders learn the Silverflame’s way to down bosses and gearing up. Usually, these runs happen on Thursdays.
Our current progress is 7/7 in Emerald Nightmare in Heroic Mode and 3/7 in Mythic Mode.
If you're interested in joining Order of the Silverflame, please fill in our application form, located at http://forum.silverflame.org/index.php/board,2.0.html , whisper Athlioss@Draenor or add my battletag Athlios#2283.
PS. We're always positive to group applications or guild merging discussions.
Also we're open to social applications and for Legion raiders' applications.

      ABOUT US
Procrastination is an ambitious semi-hardcore raiding guild, based on Draenor EU, founded in mid 2015, shortly after the release of Hellfire Citadel, under the name ‘Elite Slackerz’ after a bunch of old raiding buddies decided to transfer servers and start fresh. The guild has been renamed to ‘Procrastination’ in May of 2016.
Our roster consists of experienced mythic and heroic raiders, some of whom have raided from as early as Wrath, and although we expect silence and focus during pulls, we aim to keep the atmosphere during breaks and outside of raiding relaxed and full of bants and laughter.
      OUR GOALS
With Heroic Emerald Nightmare being on farm for months now, we are currently focusing on clearing Trials of Valor  Heroic and forming a mythic raiding team ready to take on the rest of Emerald Nightmare and Trials of Valor.
We aim to have a full mythic raiding team ready for Nighthold and storm it upon release.
      WHAT WE OFFER
As a guild we offer a serious raiding environment and a relaxed atmosphere full of bants, horrible jokes and laughter during breaks and outside of raiding. We keep our raiding team small and good, under performing members and trials, regardless of their rank and status in the guild, are asked to step aside for a fight, or even the night, so the guild can progress.
Additionally, we use a personal loot system so everyone is guaranteed as much loot as RNGesus deems them worthy of. If anyone receives an item they do not need, the raid is asked to roll on it, highest roll wins; Although this is how things are usually done, it is still worth mentioning that the way unneeded personal loot is shared is entirely up to the owner of the loot.
The guild leadership, however, strongly encourages that the loot be shared with the raider who would benefit from it the most.
Outside of raiding, we are still pushing Mythic+ dungeons on a daily basis, doing occasional alt runs, and we even have a handful of members interested in competitive PvP.
If not online, our members can be found on the guild Discord server, often playing other games together.
WHAT WE ASK OF OUR MEMBERS & TRIALS
      --Attitude--
As a member of Procrastination you are the representation of the guild, regardless of your position within the guild, therefore you are expected to have a friendly and respectful attitude towards both your guild mates and the people you meet out in the world. Toxicity in any way, shape or form will not be tolerated.
Procrastination has its own sense of humor, so future members are expected to have one as well. When it comes to joking around, if you can dish it out, you better be able to take it.
      --Dedication--
We are looking for raiders who strive to pull the most out of their class/spec and are constantly looking for new ways to improve themselves, and the guild. All members are expected to be able to not only accept constructive criticism and learn from it but to also not shy away from expressing their opinion or giving constructive criticism to other raiders (including the leadership of the guild). New ideas, suggestions and constructive criticism is always welcome and appreciated, especially during progression runs.
      --Attendance--
As we strive to become a Mythic raiding guild, attendance is important. All our raiders and trials are required to attend a minimum of 80% of raid nights - meaning they are not allowed to miss out on more than two raid nights a month if they do not have a good excuse for it and would like to keep their spot on the team.
Additionally, all raiders and trials are expected to have a stable internet connection and be able to join the Discord server during raid nights.
      --Communication--
We are an international guild, and as such, we expect our members to be able to communicate in English both in guild chat and in Discord so that everyone can understand each other. Raiders, of course, are expected to have a working microphone and able to cut out any background noises by switching to push-to-talk if necessary.
      RAIDING SCHEDULE
We raid for three hours three nights a week, however during progression raid nights can sometimes be extended by another 30 minutes depending on how we’re doing on a boss.
All raid nights are server time and not subject to change.
      Monday 20.30 - 23.30
      Wednesday 20.30 - 23.30
      Saturday 20.30-23.30
      RECRUITMENT STATUS
Procrastination is currently recruiting 870+ ranged DPS, however exceptional raiders of any other role will always be considered.
      THE LIFE OF A TRIAL
A Trial in Procrastination lasts a maximum of 6 raid nights, trials are expected to attend every raid night and treat every raid night as a progression night - meaning they are expected to bring their own food, flasks, pre-pots, pots and come fully enchanted and gemmed.
Again, we use a personal loot system, so as a trial you will not be starved of loot, unless you have really bad RNG and there is no loot to be shared around.
      CONTACT
If you are interested in joining us, or simply need more information, you’re welcome to contact Procrastination’s guild leader in game (Betteh), via BattleTag (Ririxia#2172), join our Discord server and poke someone from the leadership until you get the answers you seek, or simply apply through our website :)
