Thanks man!  Looking forward to getting in there the next time my schedule allows.  They are conspiring against me and my work schedule the last two builds!

My DA was ridiculous. You can game it with the perk which makes your next PoH / flash a crit when you use AA. Then you get the 4pc mana reduction on PoH? Like Wtf.

Then PoH is just always good cause of the low health targets.

Steve mentioned going back to using it on CD like we do now.  Were you using it the same way or were you specifically holding it?

Holding what? AA? There's pretty much always some raid damage that it would be useful. Might be fight dependent.

On Kromog I used it on CD, the thing I found myself doing was using Penance for healing (since it gave Evangelism stacks) and only smiting / holy fire for stacks until AA was off or there was no healing to be done.

Otherwise I was using PoH on groups that needed it, CoW on tanks when they had the armor debuffs, and PoM as much as I could remember.

During AA I tried to PoH more because of the reduced mana, which also probably attributed to the DA I had.

I had to do a reinstall of the beta a few weeks ago when Blizz decided the EU version shouldn't be capable of upgrading without reinstalling and the proposed fixes corrupted my install sad.png.. I didn't back up my configs so it didn't log, sorry!

I was only there for Darmac since I had work the next day and couldn't stay up until 0:00. But given the constant raid damage on the raid you see on encounters in T17, there's not usually a reason to hold it back(encounters like brackenspore may be an exception depending on the spore's healing on mythic). The 4pc also gives an incentive to use AA more liberally, especially in combination with SS since the penalty on your mana pool is halved.

ew.... Sorry man.

Reinstalling the Beta is what caused my two weeks off a few months ago.  Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.  Not angry at Blizz.. just a bad taste that not playing helps me get over it. lol

Yeah, you can't really blame it on Blizzard, that's part of the beta -- that things will crash. It just sucks when it happens when you're deployed and stuck on a 10/10 connection with 30 other people.

I didn't think opening a new thread would really be the best choice for my question...

In the opening of the beta Holy seemed to be the better choice based on how these fights were laid out and the talent/ability changes were going. After reading this it seemed Blizzard buffed up Disc pretty strongly however I haven't read anything updated since your last few posts.

Is Holy going to be he best option with all the stacking that's going on in many of these new fights?

Is Disc going to be good for raid healing or is it going to remain a better tank heal so to speak?

I will not be doing mythics on my priest at all, and I was always more comfortable with Holy going into a pug or whatever but I switched to disc for the fun of the spec and ability to pew pew the boss/adds and still heal.

Thanks

Holy is currently the better spec for spread AE healing. CoH, emp PoM, and serendipity makes holy's toolkit more efficient for that task.

Stacked up, disc starts to be competitive. Holy Nova can do a crapton of healing with people stacked up. It's HPM is actually bigger than CoH when it hits 5 people, which should be easy with its 12 yard radius.

As for tank healing both are pretty strong, but disc is the better spec for that situation. CoW is a phenonenal spell for that situation, PWS and penance are just icing on the cake.

Ultimately the specs are becoming more and more equal, but holy still takes the cake for me, if for nothing else a more interesting playstyle.

Next StarCraft expansion confirmed, the only reason they'd have a computer area for SC, is if they're going to have a playable alpha for us. Also Hero's of the Storm is going to have playable demos from the looks of it. D3 and WoW both have pretty minor demo areas, so no major releases for those, at least not in playable form yet.

edit: also the gap from 12pm-1pm on the main stage is suspect. They have a big announcement of some sort they don't want to even give out the slightest hint about.

I totally agree. Looking at what's on the horizon (including what you stated about demo areas), there is: SC2 LotV, Heroes, D3X2, WoW T18, HSX1, and the possibility of some "Retro Re-Release" like WC3 (that had art assets datamined in the B.Net Launcher a few days back).

Or maybe it's just a new Rock'n'Roll Racing. :)

All,

WoD Beta will come to an end tomorrow!

Thank you to everyone who particatpated in this thread, testers and inquiring minds!  This xpac beta has been the least amount of time that I was able to committ to getting info out on to forums.  That being said, between all of the raid encounters asked about, all of them were covered by one tester or another and I cannot thank you enough.

WoD will bring some new Blues to the Priest forums!  Welcome Brewmonksta, Storm, and Twintop!  Looking forward to seeing everyone throughout this tier and some of you at Blizzcon.... cough.

Great job on the Transition Guide getting us in to 6.0.  See you all soon.

Gwen
